Prompt: (requested) George plans a surprise party, but can't spend time with Dream

Words:

"Can you shut up for a minute?" George snarled.

He was on the phone with Sapnap. The two had been talking for ages, and frankly sick of each other.

And poor dream had been waiting for hours, just wanting someone to talk to him. He didn't want to talk to karl, or quackity. He wanted to talk to George.

It made him feel unwanted, and George's harsh words hurt his feelings more than he'd like to admit.

Maybe it was his fault, but he couldn't help that he was excited to talk to the brunette. He loved him.

Dream was accidentally babbling to George. He went to ask George when he'd be off the phone, but somehow the conversation drifted to his day.
He was talking about his morning, and the breakfast he had, and how much he missed George, just anything that came to mind.

Though Dream wouldn't admit how much the words George used against him hurt his heart.
He didn't mean to come off as annoying, but George implied that.

George had never done that before.

In fact, George had made an effort to make Dream not feel like a bother. As the brunette knew that dream felt specifically insecure about his personality.
His adhd was often a cause for him to come across as annoying, so George unknowingly killed dream confidence.

It caused Dream to spiral into a dread of overthinking. He had began to nitpick himself to an extent of genuine hurt.

He went to the mirror, and scoured every part of himself. Looking at his arms, stomach, and thighs.
He noticed how he had put on a small amount of weight. It wasn't much, and not even noticeable.

But George's words, and his thoughts pushed him into a foggy headspace.
A mentality that was far from stable, and more uneasy.

George words of his annoyance made his eyes well with salty water. He couldn't change his adhd, but he decided he could control it better.
He decided he shouldn't say anything unnecessary, and stop going to George so much.

He decided that everything was wrong about himself. Not a thing right, which obviously wasn't true.

He could list off everything he didn't like about himself for hours, never repeating anything.

He overheard George laughing, and giggling. The kind of laughing that you do with your partner.
Dream also saw him hiding things, and being especially cold to him. Not explaining, and brushing things off.

The only reason Dream could think of, was that George found someone else.
It explained the snapping at him, and keeping the space between the two.

Dream didn't feel like George loved him anymore. Which made his heart fall to the floor.

He wasn't even mad. He was only sad.
The blond didn't even want to break up. He still loved George with all his heart, and he just couldn't leave him.
So he'd fix himself, so George would want to be with him again.

He'd work out, Fix his hair, and become more independent.
He wouldn't go to George when he felt sad, or when he felt lonely.
He wouldn't even ask George to lay with him in the morning, and no longer talk when it wasn't completely necessary.

Dream wasn't realizing that he was losing his personality. Instead, wanting to become someone perfect for George.

George would then fall back in love, and care about him again.
He knew he was desperate, but really just wanted George again. He simply couldn't fathom George cheating on him.
