George was using a wooden spoon to stir noodles. Dream was on his phone, and occasionally giggling.
George smiled at hearing his boyfriend laugh.
The brunette added salt to the pot of boiling water, and continued to stir. Watching the the starch pool at the top and float around.
"Could you pass me the dish towel?" George asked. Looking at Dream.
Greens eyes lifted from his phone screen, as he stood up. Trying to find a dish towel for George.
He loved helping. Always wanting to be seen as helpful. Plus, he loved making George happy.
As he was looking for the towel, George saw dreams phone screen light up.
It was text from a contact called 'Colten'. Which raised George's suspicions as the text was strange.
All it said was 'see you soon!'.
George always assumed Dream was faithful, but suddenly began to question it.
He wanted to believe his boyfriend would never cheat on him, but couldn't stop the awful thoughts that plagued his mind.
Dream handed him the grey dish towel, as George's eyebrows furrowed.
"Dream?" He started.
"Yeah?" He answered innocently. Smiling at the light brush over George's fingers over his hand.
"Who's Colten" he stated strictly.
Dreams face went pale, as his mouth was screwed shut. He tried to say something but couldn't get his words out.
Colten was someone he'd been messaging for only about a day. The only reason he was talking to him was because he was buying a bed frame from him.
He'd saw his listing on the internet for a bedframe for sale, and wanted to buy it for George.
The brunette had been sleeping on a mattress on the floor, and Dream wanted him to have a proper place to sleep.
He'd went to great lengths to keep it a surprise, and hoped he could convince George he wasn't cheating.
"He's no one" dream sighed. Fiddling with the bottom of his shirt.
The rain poured down outside, and contrasted to warmth of the inside. The sound that was once comforting to dream, only made him feel alone.
He didn't want George to leave him because of this.
"Don't lie!" George suddenly yelled. Startling dream out of his thoughts.
Dream was not very good with yelling. He didn't know how to answer when someone yelled at him.
Being too scared to yell back, his voice sounded pathetic compared to George.
"I- can't say.."
"The fuck you mean you can't say!!" George spit. Unknowingly waving the spoon he was using to stir in the air. Causing Dream to step back.
Dream chewed on his lip, debating on what to do. He was becoming scared of George's sudden anger, as he'd never seen George genuinely angry before.
In the almost nine months they'd been together, George had never yelled at him. They'd had small debates, but never to the point of raising their voices.
"ANSWER ME!" George screamed. Throwing the spoon down on the counter, it hitting the granite with a hard slap.
Dreams eyes widened, as he flinched back. He wanted to answer so badly, but couldn't get his brain to form a proper sentence.
He didn't think he'd be this scared because George yelled at him. Yet he was physically shaky.
He looked at his boyfriend with teary eyes. Hoping George would calm down so he could explain.
Dream was gripping the counter extremely tightly. His knuckles were white from his hard he was holding it.
Dreams adams Apple bobbed, as he gulped. Trying to suppress tears from welling in his eyes.
George continued to yell and scream.
For the first time ever, Dream found himself genuinely scared of George.
He knew George wouldn't hurt him, but it was still scary.
George did not mean to suddenly get so angry, but he was terrified. He'd be crushed if Dream cheated. Letting his emotions overcome his more sensible self.
The brunette saw the water prick in dreams eyes. It made him stop for a split second and take a breath.
Innocent intentions turned sour so quickly.
As soon as he saw Dream begin to cry, he stopped everything he was doing. Turning off the stove, and forgetting about their fight for a moment.
"No- no no no baby don't cry.." George quickly babbled out. Not even realizing the pet name that slipped out.
Despite George was the one to cause his tears, he openly accepted the comfort.
George saw how shaky Dream was, and cursed himself. He didn't even listen to dreams side of the story, which was the least he could of done before jumping to conclusions.
He felt so bad. He did not mean to make his perfect boyfriend cry, but he had. Desperately trying to find a way to make it up to him.
George pulled dream closer to him, and saw each stray tear fall from the other.
Dream babbled out apologizes for crying, but George only shushed him.
"It's okay hun, don't feel bad for crying it's perfectly okay.." George said shakily.
Dreams heart warmed slightly, as he embraced George into a tight hug. Feeling George's arms wrap around him, making him feel safe.
Even if they were fighting, George never wanted Dream to feel scared of him. He didn't care even Dream if cheated on him, he just never wanted the other to be scared of him.
His nose ran, but was too caught up in being close to George to notice. Body trembling, as he desperately tried to compose himself.
George waited for Dream to catch his breath, as he kissed the top of his head. Using his palm to guide Dream face to look at him.
Beautiful eyelashes were pronounced from the tears. George awed how perfect dream looked, even after he cried.
"M'sorry- it's not what you think at all-"
Dream said shakily. Gripping tighter onto George's sleeve.
"I wanted to buy you a bedframe since you always sleep on the floor.." the blond babbled.
George felt awful for snapping. Maybe he did have a reason to be suspicious, but he didn't even let dream try to explain.
"He's the guy who was selling me the bedframe" Dream cried, as George used his sleeve to stop the unavoidable runny nose that came with crying.
"Shit- dream I wouldn't of yelled at you like that.." George sighed sadly. Holding onto his boyfriend a little tighter.
Dream felt relieved George wasn't mad at him anymore, but the genuine fear he had still plagued his brain.
"I promise I'll never yell at you like that ever again, okay? I'm so sorry baby.." George babbled earnestly. Praying Dream would forgive him.
Dream sniffled before cuddling closer into George. Kissing his neck softly, before mumbling out an 'I love you'. His way of apologizing making George's heart flutter.
Patches walked into the kitchen, and brushed over George's leg. Making him smile, as he pointed her out to dream. Who was still calming down.
Patches tilted her head as she saw the dish towel dream dropped before the fight. Making George feel guilty for jumping so quickly to conclusions.
He did trust Dream. He really did, but the mere thought of him cheating broke his heart. Although he didn't, it still made his stomach drop in an awful way.
He never wanted to lose him. He loved Dream probably more then he loved himself, and he was not ready to give that up.
