Prompt: (requested) George's parents don't understand Dreams autism

Autism shows differently for each person. 'dreams' symptoms may be different from someone who actually has autism.

Ty for for people who have been supporting these chapters. I appreciate it ❤️

It was 10:30 in the morning, and George was on his way to dreams bedroom.

They were dating, but decided separate bedrooms were sometimes nice. Especially to dream who just preferred to be alone more than with someone.
Which did not bother George, as he understood it was one of factors that contributed to his autism.

The sunny clouds made a pretty shadow in dreams room. The folds of his blinds being projected onto the blank wall.
It wasn't terribly hot that particular day, as the humidity was promising a light rain. Which dream didn't mind.

George had known dream for years, and had been dating for a few months. Their relationship being incredibly strong as how close they had become.

Surprisingly, George had gone quite a while without even knowing a huge part of dreams personality.
It was the fact Dream had autism.

George didn't even realize until he got to Florida, as Dream had been masking it up until then. It showing when dream was unable to make eye contact with him.

George had always made an effort to make dream feel as normal as possible. Dream often feeling like he didn't belong. Causing him to struggle a lot with socializing in person.

It was hard, but George loved him too much to let it get to him. Adoring some of the more endearing parts of his autism that were just plain sweet. like how excited he'd get when someone would mention something he was passionate about. Or how attentive he was to small gestures.

When George stepped into dreams room, he smiled. Seeing his boyfriend peacefully sleeping. The blankets engulfing him.

George found it was best to wake dream up himself, as alarms could be too loud and overwhelming for the other. And it was better to keep the same routine.

He sat on the edge of the bed, and lightly ran his fingers through messy bedhead.
"Morning dream" he cooed happily.

The blond huffed, and opened his eyes slowly. Adjusting to the light, and George's face staring kindly at him.

Dream smiled instead of speaking. Often feeling non-verbal in the morning.
The brunette kissed his nose, and went to the kitchen. Giving the other some space until his mind was less foggy from sleep.

Soon enough, Dream hobbled down the stairs. Seeing George fixing his hair in the reflection of the stove.
When the brunette saw him, he jumped but smiled. Welcoming his boyfriend closer.

"How was your sleep?"

Dream shrugged, but also looked at the stove. Seeing his reflection looking back at him.
He began to ramble about his sleep, while George occasionally hummed to indicate he was still listening.

They were going out for breakfast, as it was dreams favourite meal.
George wanted to take his boyfriend out anyway, so breakfast seemed like a good option.

Dream held tightly onto George's hand. Letting the other walk him out their apartment door, and down the hallway. George moved his thumb over the top of dreams knuckles. Adoring how the action made dream smile and giggle.
