George and Dream were sitting on the couch. Both on their phones, while the tv chattered in the background.

"George?" Dream sheepishly asked.

Looking up, George waited for his husband to continue.
They'd been married for almost a year now, and couldn't be happier.

When the blond didn't continue his sentence, george grinned. The look on his face showed he was slightly embarrassed.

"What's up lovely?"

Silence fell over the room, as Dream looked down. Cheeks heating up at the mere thought of what he was about to ask.

"I want a baby.."

George's eyes widened, looking at Dream shocked. Truly that was last thing he expected.

"Excuse me?" He giggled.

"Would you wanna ever adopt.." dream mumbled. The brunette having to strain his ears to hear. Clearly picking up on the others shyness.

When George didn't answer, Dream quickly spoke up.
"It's okay- you don't have to answer.. it was just a nice thought"

Smiling, George tilted his head. Never once thinking that dream would ever want to be a father.
"You want a baby dream?"

"Maybe" dream said shyly. Picking at his fingers, while somehow going even more pink.

"Honey, it's okay" George laughed, stopping dream from picking at his skin.

"All you had to do was ask, and we'll talk about it"

Nodding, Dream smiled weakly. Refusing to look at his husband.
"Just to be clear, you do want to have a baby?"

"..yes.."

"I'll give it a think" George said, giving dream a quick kiss.

As they continued to scroll on their phones, george got up to get some water.
The kitchen was behind the couch, so George glanced quickly at Dream.

He saw his phone, and couldn't help but roll his eyes playfully.
He was watching videos of people explaining how to care for children.

Specifically, babies.

"Watcha watching there, hun?"

George's sudden voice startled the blond. Dropping his phone in surprise, while letting out a quick yelp.

The phone fell, George caught it before it hit the ground.

Covering his eyes in embarrassment, Dream went bright red. Somehow, more than he already was.

Giggling devilishly, George read what was in dreams search bar.
"Safest, and easiest way to rock a baby to sleep"

"Shut up!" Dream wailed. Stuffing his face into the couch.

George was toppling over in laughter. Dreams tough image, just didn't seem very father-ish. Being the reason the whole idea was a little funny.

"Someone's got baby fever" george cooed.

"Please just think about it..?" Dream quietly asked.

"Of course"

Smiling, george went to get his water. Handing Dream his phone back.

He wouldn't admit it yet, but he knew he wanted to adopt at some point. He just found it adorable Dream was the one who brought it up.

As the months passed, george and Dream had continued to speak about the possibility of children.
Including the money costs, and lifelong commitment.
