There are those who say fate is something beyond our command. That destiny is not our own, but I know better. Our fate lives within us, you only have to be brave enough to see it. Marrying a stranger wasn't the best decision I...

Aria Pazi is a spitfire, she always have been. And yet, she only gained that name the night everything changed.
Winter Solstice, or as we like to call it— the longest night for possible sin. The Four Deadly Sins, we were given that name as a collective for a reason. The four of us being branded as the different sins. We live up to those names because they are apart of us. They always have been since ten years ago and even before that.
Ashley has no idea, but she will soon, I know I should tell her everything, including aspects is my life but I am not willing to fuck up what we have going on. Our relationship is in a good place at the moment and I refuse to go back to the time when Ashley looked at me as if she hated the idea of me as her husband and her as my wife. It isn't fake, none of it, and I will explain all that to her soon. I might even tell her about winter solstice ten years. Nothing can top the night from a decade ago, we were still in high school, some would argue that we were still innocent. I lost my innocence long before that night, and long before my father wished for me to be his henchman.
Both Kian and Blake got lucky, after Blake travelled all over for our father and Kian left for the west coast, that left me alone. Along with my mother, her and I despised that man. Don't get me wrong, it could have been worse, he never hit my mom, and at one point, I'd like to believe they were still in love.
Now I wonder if they ever were, with getting my mom knocked up at a young age, in this world that meant marriage. Ashley and I are already married, was that because of love? No, love wasn't an aspect in the matter, obsession? Possibly, I believe that with enough power and money, you can create your own fate, and that's exactly what I did. Luck has no influence in my world, similar to my brothers, every move we make is calculated. It was the way we were raised, and for once, I don't hate my father for that trait.
And even now, I stare at Ashley from across the room and I know I am lucky to have her. Isn't that ridiculous? Before Ashley I was out every night, hooking up with different women, I was living the stereotypical bachelor lifestyle. Ashley was right when she branded me as a playboy, I was. I can say the same for my friends, the four of us would party every night. And then in the morning we would go back to ruling our empires as if the night before didn't exist. All our problems ceased to matter for one single night.
Hunter with being Capo of The West, Nathan, who is preparing to take over as Capo of the Boston Mafia. And Luca who has taken his business legit, and is now the CEO of the biggest company in America. The power the four of us hold, no one could go against us. Instead of making ourselves enemies, we gained each others trust and became allies. Despite what our fathers argued, with both mine and Hunters dead— Nathan's was the only one who could argue against our union. But we all knew he wouldn't because that would mean going against Nathan and then Hunter and I.
"You're back," Ashley's eyes light up as I make my way towards her. The glass she's gripping is almost empty, but her eyes are anything but. Her eyes are filled with hope, and trust that I'll get her out of this world, out of my world and my life. I know Ashley isn't here by choice, but with time she'll come to realise she belongs here, with me.
