CORA
"ARE you okay, Cora?" Mason asked, prompting me to look at him. Ngumiti lang ako at nagkibit-balikat. All he could do was sigh deeply as he held my hand tighter.

"Cora, I know that this whole thing sounds crazy, but Iʼm serious about you. I know that we are at fault for whatʼs happening right now, pero gusto kong malaman mo na walang masama kung pipiliin mo rin ang sarili mo," he said. "I know that I sound selfish right now, but it is what it is. Weʼre already stuck in this mess that we created, so might as well make our way out together. This..." He held my hand. "This is the one mistake that Iʼm willing to fight for. Paninindigan kita. Paninindigan ko tayo. Iʼm not leaving you alone."
