Hello, ebriwan! If you've reached this part then that means you've already finished the revised version of Cora and Mason's story! Hindi ako nagbibiro when I say that out of all of my stories, itong isang ito ang may pinaka-maraming pinagdaanang revisions at edits. There was even a point na memorized ko na 'yong bawat sentence sa first chapter dahil sa ilang ulit kong pagbisita sa story na 'to (ToT)
Nevertheless, I hoped you were able to enjoy this story as much as I enjoyed writing (and editing, and revising) it. I hoped you learned something along the way.
For me, Cora is the most raw character that I've ever written as of now. She's not necessarily perfect, and that's what makes her so interesting for me. Usually, kapag mga ganitong teen-fics, lagi kang magru-root sa bida and sa love interest nila. But her character during the first to second part of the story made it hard to root for her.
Cora isn't perfect. She's a mirror of our teenage selves who were prone to mistakes. But the best part about her character is that she learned from those mistakes and she was able to redeem herself in many ways that I did not show in this book (wink wink to the next installments).
My main goal in this story is to make you feel like you're reading a modernized old Wattpad story. Ginamit ko 'yong mga cliché tropes and stuff (love triangle, forbidden love, high school story, biglang nagkasakit 'yong bida out of nowhere), and made them my own. Nowadays, iba na kasi 'yong vibe ng Wattpad stories. So I wanted to remind you of the good old times by writing something that encapsulated the feels of the old era of Wattpad. This story serves as a love letter to the OGs of Wattpad — of the writing platform that made me write in the first place.
I also wanted to create a story na hindi puro sa main bida kakampi ang mga readers. Enjoy na enjoy akong isulat si Cora kasi sobrang realistic ng character niya for me. Hindi siya 'yong typical bida na perfect, innocent, blah blah blah! She's perfectly imperfect. I love that her flaws made her a better person. Kasi ganoʼn naman po talaga sa sa totoong buhay, 'di ba? We learn from our mistakes, and Iʼm not afraid to let the story highlight that.
That's all! I just wanted y'all to know na kahit matagal na ako dito sa Wattpad, amateur pa rin ako sa pagsusulat. I am willing to accept criticism in order to further hone my craft. You are also free to call me out if may masulat man akong problematic stuff or anything that is overall offending to y'all.
