I heard a door slam. Foot steps getting closer to my door. A key pushed into the lock. Then enters...
Jackson.
I jumped as the door opened.
"Hey babe." Jackson greeted.
"Hey." I replied not looking at him. Some what frowning.
He walked up to the telly and turned it off.
"Jackson!" I whined.
"Shut up."
I obeyed, not wanting what happened last night to happen again.
He came over to me and kissed me. I didn't necessarily kiss him back. I put no effort into it.
"What are you doing Friday?" He asked.
"Probably staying home. Why?"
"Let's go to the cinema."
Was he serious? After what he just did to me? Why would I want to go on a date with him?
"I don't know Jackson. I am in a lot of pain right now an-."
"Tara don't do this. You have been begging me to take you on a date, and now that I am finally willing you want to pull this rubbish?"
I got scared. I couldn't let him get too angry or else he will start hitting.
"You're going! I don't care if you are damn near dead!"
"Okay." I said.
He got up.
"We're going at 7:30 so be ready by then. And I don't want to hear any whining."
He walked out and slammed the door.

FRIDAY 7:28PM:
I was getting ready for my date with Jackson. Hopefully this was him trying to make up for hurting me so badly.
I had gone back to work on Wednesday. The bruise underneath my eye was faded enough to cover with concealer and blush. And for my arms, a long sleeve uniform shirt worked perfectly.
I wore a red tank-top with a long sleeve cardigan. Some skinny jeans and my flats. Necklace, bracelet, and earrings were added. I put my hair up into a pony tail.
My make-up was almost perfect. My eyelashes were long and thick. My bruise unnoticable. I looked fairly nice for a date.
I heard Jackson's car honk. What a gentleman.
I grabbed my purse and walked out the door.
"Glad to see you're ready in time." He said.
"Yeah." I said under my breath.

Jackson paid for our tickets and we stood in the concession line. We didn't do much interacting with each other. I stood with my arms across my chest looking at the menu hanging above the popcorn machine. While Jackson was texting away on his phone.
Once we got our popcorn and drinks, I went over to the butter machine, and Jackson went to go get straws.
There was a switch on the side of the machine to let the butter out. I tried to push the switch up but it wouldn't budge. I tried both hands, but it still didn't move. It was a true struggle. I huffed and gave it a little shake. Hoping that it would finally work.
Nothing.
"Need help there, love?" I heard someone say beside me.
It was a guy. He was one beautiful boy. Short light brown hair that was pushed up. Beautiful brown eyes, and an impressive figure.
