Chapter 34

3 weeks later:

Jackson and Kristie have been doing some jailtime for assault and battery. Not too long after Jackson was imprisoned for other crimes against him, such as rape, 4 counts of assault, and too many other crimes to list.

I guess you can say everything is back to normal. Isaac went back to work a few days ago which makes going so much easier and more enjoyable.

Liam and I are doing so much better. We haven't faught at all since the whole Jackson situation. Things are great now. I wouldn't want it any other way.

"Tara!" Isaac exclaimed as I made my way into the kitchen.

"What Isaac?" I laughed at his excited state.

"Look!" He held out the menu to me.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Isaac you do understand that I know what that is right?" I asked.

He laughed. "Well I'm glad you see that it's a menu but look inside." He opened the menu and pointed to the soup section. It read "SPECIALTIES: Aigo Boulido"

My mouth dropped and formed a smile. "Isaac you did it!" I cheered. His face lit up with excitement. I gave him a huge hug and he picked me up and spun me around.

"To celebrate I think we should have some." He said triumphantly.

"I couldn't think of a better idea." I laughed.

We sat at our normal table and ate. I was so proud of him, I know how hard it is to get things approved to serve to the public but he did it.

"What's going on here?" I heard. My heart dropped. It was deja-vu. Only this time I was actually happy to see the man standing at the end of the table.

"Liam!" I smiled, getting up to kiss him. He held my waist and kissed me back.

We both sat down. "What's up man?" Liam smiled holding his hand out to Isaac.

Isaac gladly took it. "How are you mate?" He laughed.

"What are you eating?" Liam asked.

"Aigo Boulido. Isaac's dish." I smiled.

"Smells great man!" Liam smiled.

"Try some." I suggested holding up my spoon for him.

I fed it to him and his eyes grew wide. "Wow. Where did you learn to cook like that?" He asked in amazement.

"My grandparents taught me." He replied.

"Well that tasted way better than my lunch, I'll say that much." Liam laughed.

Isaac and I joined. Once the short laughter ceased, Liam began to talk. "I'll uh see you tonight right?" He asked.

"Yeah." I smiled.

He smiled and kissed me again. "Date night it is. I better get going, my lunch break is nearly over. Cheers mate. And great soup." Liam said getting up. "I'll see you tonight." He smirked, then walked away.

I stood in the mirror admiring myself. I wore a black eleagant dress with black shining heels. My hair was curled and part of my fringe was pinned back. For once I believed I truly looked beautiful. I put my earrings on and as I did the doorbell rang.

I went to the door to see Liam in a fancy suit. He looked so handsome. I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Hello gorgeous." He smiled pulling me in for a kiss. "You ready to go?" He asked.

"Yeah, just let me grab my bag."

Liam took me to the nicest resturant in town. It had two floors, the second floor was mainly for couples. We took the elevator up and we sat at the table in front of the balcony.

We didn't do much eating rather than talking and laughing with each other. There weren't many people up here which made it easier for us to be ourselves. After our meal Liam stood up from his chair and escorted me out into the balcony. Suprisingly it wasn't very cold outside. I stood in front of the stone looking at the amazing view when Liam stood behind me with his hand to the side setting on the stone.

"It's beautiful isn't it." I whispered.

"I just thought a beautiful girl should see a beautiful world." He replied. He turned to the side laying his hand on my lower back. His other hand found it's way to my chin which brought my head towards him. "But I like this view much better." He whispered looking into my eyes.

I blushed as he brought his lips to mine. This kiss was gentle. His lips were soft and his actions were light. He is almost too good to be true. I never thought I would be blessed with someone like him. He slowly removed his lips from mine.

"I love you Tara Blake. And I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life with you." He said.

My heart dropped and I grew nervous but didn't show it. "Are you proposing to me?" I asked with a smile.

He lightly laughed. "No... Well not yet at least." He smiled.

I laughed and wrapped my arms around his neck. Kissing him again. I guess you can say I was relieved and disappointed at the same time. I'm not ready to make that kind of commitment but I do love him and know that I one day will be.

"I love you too, Liam Payne."
