{Liam's POV}

I told Ruth all about Tara. I left some parts out. Like the intimate moments we shared. I probably shouldn't have told her about Jackson because she started to freak. She didn't fancy the idea of me getting into fights with other people. But it was really nice to let my feelings out. I'm usually one who keeps them bottled up. Ruth had listened to every word that came out of my mouth and I loved her for that.

We arrived at the resturant. I had finished my story in the car and it was Ruth's turn to give me advice. I reckon she'll get to that once we're seated.

"Table for two?" A waitress asked.

"Yes please." Ruth smiled.

"Right this way."

We took our seats and Ruth did not hesitate to start talking.

"How long has it been since you two have broken up?" She asked.

"About two weeks." I answered.

"Do you want to get back with her?"

"More than anything."

"Sorted. I know it sounds cliche but you have to tell her how you feel. Whether you meant to or not, you somewhat got even with her. Meaning when she hurt you, you turned around and did it to her. Now you must do what she did and apologise. If you think about it, your fight with her was so small compared to the other situations you've told me about. When I talked to you on the phone you sounded hurt. I don't know if you know this already but Tara has an effect on you that no girl you've been with could do. Don't let her go just yet." She advised.

I played with the napkin set out on the table. I held my head down in shame. Ruth was right. I did get even with Tara, the fight was small, Tara does have an effect on me. I knew what I had to do.

{Tara's POV}

"You what?" Isaac asked.

I had just admitted to something I didn't know was entirely true. I didn't know if it was love. Absence does make the heart grow fonder, or so I've heard. Maybe I just really miss Liam. No. . No this can't be love. I refuse to believe it.

"I've got to go." I said grabbing my bag and heading for the door.

"No! Tara stop!" Isaac called.

"Isaac my lunch break is almost over. I have to go!"

He took a step back. His face wore confusion. "Just don't be angry with me. I can't lose you." He said softly.

I nodded and walked out. Well that trip to Isaac's was unexpected. I wanted to just talk to someone it didn't even have to be about Liam, or Jackson. My eyes grew wide as I reached the the handle to my door. What if I told him what Jackson said. The conversation between us would be unbelievably angry and possibly more tears, from the both of us.

{LIAM'S POV}

For the rest of the time at the resturant Ruth and just laughed and had a joyus conversation. I had totally forgotten about Tara. But I knew that the feeling would return. We just talked about our childhood, our stupid arguments we used to have and such. We had already eaten, we just had to pay and leave. But I wanted to talk more before going back to the depression of my flat.

Ruth once again had loads to say so I just sat and listened. It was only until something caught my eye.

I faced the resturant's kitchen and Ruth faced the door. I squinted my eyes to see a girl putting a waist apron on. Normally that doesn't grab my attention, but her pony tail was familiar. She turned to the computer and I saw her.

Tara.

She was right there! My heart dropped but also beat at a fast pace. It was really her! I wanted to go and talk to her. Ruth told me what to do and was going to. Maybe not right this second. She seemed busy. Luckily, she didn't notice me. I don't know what I would do if she saw me. Tara walked into the kitchen and that was the last I saw her.

We payed and left not too long after I noticed Tara. Ruth drove me back home. I sat on my sofa thinking of what to do. I looked at the time. 4:52 PM. I had to go see Tara. I wanted her back. I want her to know how stupid and childish I was. I just wanted her in my arms again.

11:23PM

I decided to wait until closing time to go see her. It seemed like years I had to wait. TV wasn't helping get her off my mind, I wasn't hungry, I knew my bed definitely wouldn't help.

Once I noticed the time I grabbed my keys and jacket and drove over there as fast as I could. I prayed that she was still over there.

When I arrived I saw the lights were turning off. Only two cars were seen. One of those cars were Tara's. I prepared myself. What I am going to say. What I am going to do. I could do it. I just had to go in there. Never once have I been this afraid of a girl.

I walked into the building. No one was seen. The kitchen lights were the only lights on.

"Bye John." I heard. It was Tara's voice.

"Goodbye Tara. I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yes." She answered.

A door closed. I hoped it wasn't Tara that left. I heard footsteps nearing closer to where I was. She walked out of the kitchen and turned her back to me not yet noticing my presence. She had a basket of towels in her hands. My heart dropped. This is it Liam. No turning back now.

"Tara." I softly said.

She turned around confused as to who called her name.

Here we go.
