359: Merry Christmas

December 25th - Prompt: Christmas Day

"It's Christmas! It's Christmas! It's Christmas!"

Peter gasped, waking with a start to find his six year older brother all but jumping up and down at the foot of his bed, dangerously close to his feet.

He drew his knees up to his chest, groaning quietly. "What time is it?" He grumbled.

"Too late," Edmund said quickly, a huge grin on his face. "It's Christmas!"

Peter sighed. "It's early even for me." He grumbled. "Go back to sleep."

"I couldn't even if I wanted to." Edmund replied firmly. "Now come on, Its Christmas morning!"

"So you've said." Peter sighed, before slowly sitting up and checking the clock. "It's six thirty."

That was rather early to be waking up, especially after he'd been kept up late by Edmund himself not being able to sleep last night.

"So it's time to get up." Edmund told his older brother, his dark brown eyes going wide as he gave his brother a pleading look.

Peter rubbed at his own eyes, before sighing, he could never resist the puppy dog eyes any time of the day. "You're not gonna let me go back to sleep are you?" He breathed.

Edmund's eyes returned to normal and he grinned. "Nope." he said happily.

Peter actually laughed a little at this, shaking his head back and forth a little. "Alright, alright, I'll get up." he breathed. "You wanna go downstairs until everyone else wakes up?"

Edmund nodded a little, "They won't be asleep for much longer will they?" He asked.

Peter chuckled. "I'm sure they won't be." He said, climbing out of bed and grabbing his dressing gown. "Come on then," He murmured, taking hold of his brothers hand.

Edmund smiled. "Merry Christmas Peter," he whispered.

Peter squeezed Edmund's hand, smiling down at him. "Merry Christmas Ed," He breathed. "Love you."
