I clapped to get everyone's attention. Sanemi was lying on the couch, he was taking a break before playing FNAF 3, Villager was lying on Sanemi's shoulder, Maki was on the floor and Monika was holding Flowey."Ok everyone! I decided that before it gets too late, we should all go fishing! And before any of you deny, yes, I already have fishing stuff! I bought some for everyone-except Villager because you already have some, correct?"
Villager hopped up and pulled out a fishing rod. Sanemi almost fell off the couch by how shocked he was. Monika backed up a little and Maki just looked at Villager suspiciously.
I smiled at him.
"Great! Come on everyone! Monika, you can leave Flowey behind."
Flowey smirked.
"Well, bye you all."
Monika puts Flowey on the counter before they all go. I stopped them before they could get out though.
"No. Stop, before we leave, we gotta get you all in fishing gear! Except you Villager, you always have your own clothes, right?"
Villager nods and goes inside my room. A couple minutes later, he has a whole fishing outfit on. Everyone else besides me stares in confusion.
"....I'll never understand you, Villager."
Sanemi admits.
I hand Monika a Green T-shirt, a gray jacket, and gray sweats and some black gloves, along with a cap. I hand a similar outfit to Maki except with a gray T-shirt, her new jacket, black sweats and gray gloved with a cap. I then go to Sanemi with a white T-shirt, black jacket, black sweats, white gloves and a cap, and he shakes his head.
"No."
"Come on, you can't go fishing looking like that!"
"You forced me to wear these clothes, no! I'm not putting those on!"
It took 20 minutes just to convince him to put them on. During those 20 minutes, Maki and Monika got theirs on.
Sanemi only took 3 minutes to get his stuff on. He grumbled and Villager looked excited.
Villagers face was practically beaming as he rushed into the car and sat in between Sanemi and Maki, moving his legs like an excited little child.
I smile at that. Monika gets in.
"Alright! Fishing trip! Lets go!!!!"
Monika cheered. I laughed a little.
"Calm Monika, calm, lets just go!"
I then drove off. Monika turned on a song called "Levitating". She loved it. As the song was ending it's fourth repeat, Villager touched my shoulder and pointed to the phone.
He wanted to pick a song. I looked at Monika.
"Is it ok if Villager plays a song?"
Monika nods.
"Sure! I don't mind at all!"
I gave Villager the phone and he was looking at options. Villager clicked one and returned the phone back, not knowing what the one he clicked sounded like.
It began as a wonderful tune. I immediately recognized the song.
Lucky you were born that far away so
We could both make fun of distance
Lucky that I love a foreign land for
The lucky fact of your existence
"Ooo! You picked a good one Villager! It's 'Whenever Wherever' by Shakira!"
I smiled and hummed to it's tune.
Baby, I would climb the Andes soley, to count the freckles on your body
Maki found that line weird
Never could imagine there were only ten million ways to love somebody
Sanemi looked down, finding the music calming
Le-do-lo-le-lo-le, Le-do-lo-le-lo-le
Can't you see? I'm at your feet!
Whenever, wherever, we're meant to be together, I'll be there, and you'll be near, and thats the deal, my dear.
Villager likes the melody, and Monika absolutely LOVED the lyrics. It reminded her of when she was in the game.
Soon enough we reached the lake-we could spare an hour or 2 since it was 4:53.
Sanemi looked at his fishing rod, then at us.
"So....how do we do this?"
He asked. Villager poked Sanemi's arm and showed him how to fish. A couple seconds after Villager tossed his line out, he caught a fish. He made a pose and put it in his pocket.
Monika looked at him in disbelief.
"Hey! Put it back in the water, not in your pockets!"
Villager shook his head as a 'no'. Sanemi stepped away from Villager ever so slightly. Maki looked at Villager like what he'd done was so right yet wrong.
I sighed.
"Villager...next time just put it back in the lake."
Villager nods, though he still put the fish in his pockets the next time he caught one...and the next time...and the next time...and the next time...and the-how many fish did he catch?!
"How many fish can fit in that pocket???"
Monika asked, looking directly at Villager. Villager shrugs and proceeds to cast his line out again.
Sanemi looks at Villager and sighs.
"You never cease to surprise me..."
Villager gives a thumbs up as if it's a good thing. Maki sighs.
"No Villager...thats...wrong???"
Maki had never met someone like Villager. He was...one in a million.
Soon after, with Villager being the only one who caught fish, they left at 7:28.
Villager happily sat next to Maki and Sanemi, who just stared at his happy face the whole time. Maki glared at him, and Sanemi couldn't help but smile when seeing Villagers happy face, reminded him of his siblings when he was a child.
Monika picked a Shakira album as we were heading home, not saying I'm complaining, I loved it!
When we reached home, Flowey greeted us.
"Took you long enough. How was the fishing?"
Everyone looked at Villager and Villager had an innocent smile on his face.
"It went well.."
"Yep!"
"Villager is amazing at fishing."
"...Hmph..."
Flowey shrugged and we all went to bed. As I was lying down, I grabbed my journal and began writing things down.
Dear Diary, it's me, Maddie.
Today we went fishing. I think everyone was surprised at Villager.
It's difficult explaining and taking care of them-I wish I could tell someone about it, but everyone would think I'm crazy! If only someone understood...if only someone else had this problem going on, then they would understand...
Well, until then, I'm going to bed, Goodnight journal....
And I fell right asleep.
