Chapter 33 Bad luck comes within good luck

Ender's POV

We just ate lunch. We had noodles again.

Now we're just playing Uno.

Maki quietly grabbed four cards from Shuichi's '+4' card.

"Ah...sorry Maki. It was the only card I could place down."

"It's fine, Shuichi."

"What color did you choose, Mr. Saihara?"

Isabelle tilted her head.

"Oh...uhm...I'll pick green."

Isabelle placed down a Green 3. Villager then placed down a green 6. I then placed a yellow 6.

Sanemi groaned. He didn't have a yellow or any card that could deflect it so he grabbed a card.

Then, it was Aether's turn. He began placing down a yellow 9 when-

We all turned to the crashing noise.

"Aw-crap! Shoot! I didn't mean to break that! Man, my luck must be getting worse-where am I?"

Aether lightened up at the voice. I did as well. I recognized it.

No...did another one come?

Well, time to-

"BENNETT!!!!"

Aether got up and ran to the hallway. Sanemi immediately got up and followed, I did as well.

Sanemi stopped at the door. I looked over and saw Aether helping a boy with white/grayish hair with goggles on his head.

That confirmed it. This was Bennett from Genshin Impact.

"Ahah! Thanks, Traveler! Say, do you know where we are? I haven't had a clue, I barely landed on my head on the floor a couple seconds ago!"

"We're in Ender's house."

Aether answered Bennett's question. He tilted his head.

"Hm? Who's Ender?"

Aether turned and pointed at me. I slightly waved at Bennett. Bennett gave me a confident smile.

"Oh hey! Are you Ender?"

I nodded.

"Yep! My names Ender."

"Nice to meet ya! I'm-"

"Bennett. An adventurer."

"...Uhm...not to make you sound creepy or anything, but...how do you know that???"

"Well...I guess I should start explaining, huh?"

"...Heh...so, I guess my bad luck really hit this time, huh? Well, it's not so bad, after all, I'm with the traveler now, and I'm in the real world!"

Bennett exclaimed, not too bothered by his circumstances. Aether smiled lightly at Bennett.

"Ah! I'm so lucky to have you already here, Traveler...wait...does that mean I used up all my good luck for today?! Already?! Awww!!!"

Bennett sighed of disappointment. Maki looked at him with a curious look.

"Used up all your good luck? What does that mean?"

Monika asked. Bennett looked at her, a smile regaining on his face.

"Well, you see, I have this 'bad luck' curse. Or, at least thats what other people say. It's really not that bad though. I mean, who doesn't fall into a hunters pit or get a tree hit on their head every once in a while?"
