The next morning, I was re-adjusting how I sat on the shuttle ride to the park and glared at Lloyd when he snickered.
"Don't question my punishment methods pumpkin and this wouldn't happen." Lloyd said.
"Don't fucking use a belt like an asshole." I said and he sighed. He leaned over and kissed the side of my head.
"I'm sorry." Lloyd said actually looking like he felt bad.
"Listen, let's just go have fun at animal kingdom and then tomorrow we can relax poolside." I said and smiled at Lloyd.
"Yeah yeah..." He said as we arrived at Animal Kingdom. Once we got out of the shuttle Tula asked instantly to go on Lloyds shoulders and I smiled as he complied, always did for her, she was his princess, his sunshine. I knew he wanted a girl when I had Preston but I also saw him change and become more a better role model for Preston as he got older. Preston ran up and took ahold of Lloyds hand and I smiled at this. I walked a few steps behind them and got a picture of this. Melanie smiled at me.
"I want a copy of that." Melanie said and I nodded.
"Sounds good." I said and Melanie sighed.
"Listen, if you insist on wearing short shorts because of the heat, make sure your husband doesn't leave marks..." Melanie said and I knew he meant the one welt that was visible on the back of my thighs.
"I know he was a little out of control. We talked about it." I said and she sighed. I walked up and took Lloyd free hand and he smiled down at me.

After walking around and riding some rides we decided to just take the rest of the time and look at the animals. Tula was obsessed with giraffes, so we were standing there watching them. I saw something and smiled. Tula was back on Lloyd shoulders, so I tapped her leg.
"Tula look." I said pointing and we saw a baby come walking out with its mom. She squealed and I smiled seeing her so happy.
"Daddy?" Tula asked and I chuckled knowing she was using her 'I want...' voice.
"Yes sunshine?" Lloyd asked.
"I want a giraffe." She said matter of factly like we could make it happen.
"Sweetie, we don't have room for one. I'm sorry." Lloyd said. Tula looked upset and I sighed.
"Hey, we will get you a stuff animal one before we leave, okay?" I asked and she nodded with a smile. We continued walking and we reached the lion enclosure. We saw the male lion sitting up on a rock and I smiled. He finally roared scaring some people, Preston and Tula included. Preston clung to my side and Tula held tighter to Lloyd.
"Jovi..." Lloyd said and I rolled my eyes since he used the same tone Tula used wanting something.
"Yes Lloyd?" I asked.
"I want a Lion." Lloyd said and I shook my head.
"No Lloyd you cannot have a lion." I said.
"Come on it would be a great watch cat and protector plus the kids would learn responsibly for taking care of an animal..." Lloyd trailed off.
"Right, let my babies take care of a man-eating animal...you're insane." I said.
"I believe yesterday you called me a psycho." Lloyd said and I smirked with a nod.
"I did, I still stand by that statement as well. First you want a canon and now you want a lion! Answer is the same as it was for the canon...no. We will get you a stuff animal lion when we leave as well." I said and he glared at me and I smiled. As we continued walking the kids started grumbling that they were hungry, so we stopped to get some lunch. Lloyd looked at me and I sighed.
"Yes, you can get alcohol but be responsible please..." I said and he nodded. We ordered food and just sat and had a good lunch.
"So, mom..." Preston said and I could tell he was going to turn into his father.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Tula and I were talking..." Preston said and I groaned knowing this couldn't be good.
"Okay..." I said.
"We want to go to a beach on this trip." Tula spoke up.
"A beach?" Lloyd asked and they nodded.
"Could be fun, go to myrtle beach or something..." I said and Lloyd and he sighed.
"Come on Jo, we go to a beach we go to Hawaii or something." Lloyd said and I shrugged.
"You okay with going to a beach?" I asked and he nodded.
"Why not?" Lloyd said and I laughed.
"You don't strike me as a beach goer..." I said.
"You forget our honeymoon?" Lloyd asked and I sighed.
"No...." I said and my mind flashed to how that turned out and it wasn't the best.
"Stop." Lloyd growled annoyed knowing where my mind was going. I just looked down at the table.
"We'll think about the beach, okay?" Lloyd said and the kids nodded with a small smile sensing tension.
"I'll be right back..." I said and got up from the table. I rushed to the restroom but stopped short of going in. I needed to just catch my breath. I hadn't had a flashback to things in mine in Lloyd old life in a long time, but something felt off and uneasy, so everything started to come flooding back in. I felt someone touch my shoulder from behind and I jumped ready to fight.
"Hey, woah...pumpkin..." Lloyd said and I sighed.
"Sorry." I said and he looked at me.
"Hey, my tone out there was uncalled for. That was a long time ago and our old lives." Lloyd said and I sighed. I wrapped my arms around his midsection and pulled him into a hug. He was caught off guard but wrapped his arms around me.
"Hey, what's going on?" Lloyd asked.
"I don't know Lloyd, I have an uneasy feeling, like I did when we were hunting all the Sierra's." I said and he sighed.
"Jovi, look at me..." Lloyd said and I looked up at him.
"We are no longer in danger, everything is fine. The kids are safe, you are safe, I'm safe, everyone is safe. I promise you nothing will happen to you or the family. I won't allow it. Someone goes to harm you, they won't breathe again." Lloyd said and I gave a small smile.
"I love you. You are like my own Captain America always making us safe." I said. Lloyd scoffed.
"Captain America...please I could take him on any day and beat America's ass." Lloyd said and we both laughed. He leaned down and kissed me and I smiled once we broke apart. We walked hand in hand back to the table.
