Chapter 24

There weren't any calls during the night which was surprising to Andy, but it meant that she could get a full nights sleep, something she hadn't had in a long time and that she was very grateful for. She got dressed, tied her curly locks in a low ponytail and brushed her teeth. She was considering what to do for their group exercise today, and wishing the time away so that Robert would hurry up and arrive. It was only 8:00am so she knew it would be a couple of hours yet. She wondered up to the beanery for the opportunity to have her sugary cereals without the watchful, unapproving eye of her husband and grabbed a coffee.

"Morning 19!"

"Morning Cap!" Everyone replied.

"I trust that everyone slept well! When was the last time we went a whole night without a call?!" She asked with a big goofy grin.

"Too long!" Yelled Travis! "I feel 10 years younger!" He exclaimed, running his hands through his hair with a big cheeky grin.

"Shame you don't look it!" Vic giggled and threw a piece of bacon at him, which he caught, and then ate, smiling back at her.

Andy took her box of Lucky Charms from behind the juice where she typically hides it and sat down at the end of the table.

"Everything ok, Cap?" Vic asked. "You only ever eat that crap if you're worried or you're having a bad day?"

"No I'm ok, really, I just fancied them for a change!" Andy replied.

Vic took the answer, but when the others weren't looking, she titled her head and mouthed 'you sure you're ok?' To which Andy just nodded and took a sip of coffee.

"Due to the fact i'm in an excellent mood this morning, I'm going to let you guys pick our group workout!" Andy loudly stated.

Audible groans were let out so Andy picked on Dean to choose. "Fine then, Miller, you and you alone can choose our group workout for the day!"

"Wh.. Why me?" He held his hands up.

"Captain's orders!"

"Fine, umm, let's... do.... Circuits?" He said, a questioning tone at the end hoping this would be ok with the rest of the team.

"Fine! You're on set up, let's let breakfast go down and we'll all meet downstairs at 9:30, calls dependent obviously! Someone tell Bishop, I haven't seen her yet this morning" Andy said, leaving the beanery now.

"Copy Cap!" Everyone yelled.

Andy went back downstairs to get her gym gear ready when her phone buzzed. She smiled, looking at a silly selfie of Robert and Savannah on their breakfast date, chocolate spread all over her nose with their tongues sticking out.

*Text Message*

Andy: "I love you both! Can't wait to see you"

Robert: "We love you too! See you soon!"

*At the pancake house*

"Daddy, what are you going to have?"

"I think i'm going to have fluffy pancakes with blueberries and cream! What do you fancy Princess?"

"Pancakes with chocolate and strawberries please!" She replied.

"Sounds great to me!"

The two of them spent their date talking about the Cinderella story from the night before, Uncle Luke's recovery and what she might do at the children's museum on her school trip with Grace and Ellie. Time passed much too quickly for Robert's liking and it was time to drop her off at school.
