Sorry it took a while for this one, been super busy! It's a little long.. Enjoy!!

Captain Herrera completed uniform inspection unusually strictly, setting pristine examples for station 88 and expectations for the day. They started their training with a group workout, Herrera joining in of course, and were then split in to teams to encourage healthy competition and motivate them for their drills. They ran hoses, carried dummies and practiced their oxygen intake. No matter how hard they tried, those in 88 just couldn't beat the times 19 were achieving and so their productivity and willingness to participate slowly started to decrease. Looking defeated, Herrera suggested they all shower, have lunch and regroup afterwards.

Just as they began heading upstairs, the fire chief walked into the station hidden by a stack of 10 pizzas, declaring it was lunchtime!

"Chief!" They all yelled.

"Afternoon guys, how's it going? He asked.

"Oh sooo well," Vic exaggerated. "Herrera's had us running every drill under the sun. I think my feet have stopped listening to my brain."

"That pizza looks soo good" Travis mumbled, practically drooling.

"You'll get some of that after your shower" Michael whispered seductively in his ear, with Vic just about overhearing.

"Eeew eew no sex in the station showers you two!" She yelled, running upstairs with everyone else but not not before taking a quick, suggestive glance back at the chief indicating that she too would very much appreciate having hot steamy sex in the shower right now.

The chief, catching her glance, smirked, let out a small chuckle and gave her a quick wink before turning his attention up the office where Sullivan was working. He made his way to the beanery to place the pizzas on the table and walked towards the battalion chief.

Lucas knocked on the door. "Come in" Robert said looking up. "Luke! Good to see you man, what can I do you for?"

"I just came to check on the training day and bring the guys a well deserved treat, figured Herrera would be putting them through their paces!"

"Hmm, you're not subtle Luke. Hughes has been in a good mood today, things still on track for you two?"

"Absolutely, I'm going to take her up to see Jen on the weekend!"

"I'm so pleased for you man, you know Andy and I are here for you both."

Luke just smiled, thinking about his girl. "How's Vannah? Is she feeling better?"

"She's right as rain! Bossing us around as usual. It's Andy I'm worried about." He said, nervously.

Luke just gave him a confused look, gesturing for him to continue.

"She's planning on telling Hughes about us today and I have no idea how that's gonna go.." he stopped and waited for his reaction.

Luke just stood there, his mouth slightly open. "And the kids?"

"Yep, them too." He clarified, nodding along as if he was trying to convince himself it was the right decision. "I know this will probably bring up questions between you two, why you didn't tell her... you know, so I thought I'd give you a heads up."

Nodding along, Luke asked, "but why would you be worrying about her doing that? They're best friends I'm sure everything will be fine." He tried laughing it off.

"She's terrified it will ruin what they have, that's 7 years of lying Luke...or what we have here at the station. We've worked so hard to make our set up work... She's scared Hughes won't like the kids or want to be involved with them which means they'd lose their Uncle Luke too. She's just.. afraid. Of the unknown." He rambled on, visible pain across his face.
