Today was a family day at the Herrera - Sullivan's. Everyone was off for the day and so they had decided to spend it doing something all together. They had invited Lucas, Vic, Tía Sandra, Tío johnny and Prima Michelle. They thought they would take the ferry boat over to Bainbridge island and make the most of the last weekend day of summer. They were going to take a picnic box and portable barbecue for Tío Johnny and Robert to whip up some dinner, play in the playground and just spend some quality time with one another.

"Savannah, can you go and get your shoes on for Mummy please?" Andy asked.

"But you aren't ready yet and I'm playing." She yelled from her room.

Andy stopped what she was doing and looked up at Robert, not quite believing what she'd just heard. "Savannah Sullivan, check your attitude or you and I will be staying home whilst Mummy goes out with the boys on her own." Robert said sternly from the kitchen. "There's no doubt she's yours." Robert whispered to Andy with a chuckle.

"Behave you or I'll be leaving you here regardless." She teased.

"Savannah?"

"I'm coming!"

"Good girl, put your shoes on whilst I get yours brothers in the car, OK? Babe, can you grab my coffee please?" Andy bellowed.

"Of course!" He grabbed her to-go cup and turned round ready to take Savannah's hand, but she still wasn't downstairs. "Savannah, come on, that's twice we've asked now don't make it a third!"

"I said, I'm coming!" She shouted and slammed her bedroom door shut.

"What's gotten in to you today? Do you want to stay home?" Robert said, really confused at his daughters behaviour as there was no one to show off for and she was spending the day with both of her parents so he knew it wasn't attention seeking behaviour. He was definitely perplexed and not sure what he could do to fix it.

"Daddy I'm so tired my brain isn't behaving. I'm sorry, she said," starting to cry.

"I think you ought to have a nap in the car then sweet pea because this behaviour is not going to fly today. Shall I get you a blanket and a stuffie for the car?" He asked, trying to be understanding now.

"Yes please, my Moana one and Mr Floppy please Daddy."

"Ok, here you go." He said handing her the rabbit she always sleeps with.

He did her shoe laces for her and picked her up, she buried her head in his neck and wrapped her arms around his neck holding tightly to Mr Floppy. He thought to himself that something was very off because she only did that if she was really tired, unsettled or really unwell. She was similar to Andy that way, she often needed physical touch for reassurance. He buckled her in to her car seat and got in the driver's side.

"Everything ok, that took a lot longer than normal?" Andy asked him.

"I have no idea what's wrong she said her brain was too tired to be good so I suggested she take a nap in the car." He whispered back.

"Hey Mija" Andy said quietly, turning round to look at Savannah. "You ok? Does anything hurt? Does your tummy hurt?" She enquired.

"No Mummy I just want to go to sleep. I woke up too much in night time." She replied, softly sobbing and trying to get comfy in her seat.

"Okay baby, you tell Mummy if you need anything ok? You know you can always come and get me or Daddy if you wake up when it's still dark, we won't be mad." She said, trying to reassure her but not wanting to aggravate her any further.

They set off to the Park where they were meeting everyone for the ferry. Andy put a soft lullaby on in the car, drank her coffee and put a message in the family WhatsApp group.
