As we tracked the Demogorgon, we began to notice the familiar way it was going. It was going to the barn.

Once we arrived, we noticed the creature being hit over and over again by Joyce Byers. Steve made the abrupt decision to hit the thing with his car.

Dustin laughed loudly. "Yeah, we got him! We got him!"

Steve turned the car around as the Demogorgon stood and stared at us. Before anyone could attack, the Demogorgon turned around and galloped away.

We watched as it ran towards a silo and tore a portal open so it could escape.

"It flipped! It's headed back towards us!" Dustin warned.

"Come on. What are you doing, man? We gotta turn around!" Jonathan spoke up as Steve didn't move.

"Wait. Gates are like Peanut Butter Boppers, right?" Steve asked.

"What?" We questioned.

"The outside is, like, crunchy and tough, but then you bite down on it, it gives way to a gooey, creamy core." Steve rambled, but I understood.

"Dude, what the hell are you talking about!?" Jonathan shouted.

"Steve?" I whispered, peeking my head through the small gap between his headrest and the side of the car. "You can make it."

"What!?" They shouted once they heard what I said.

"If I drive fast enough, the Beamer can punch a hole into the gate and then we can track the Demo on its home turf in the Upside Down. Follow it straight back home." Steve explained.

"We're losing the signal!" Dustin warned.

"We're not gonna be able to follow anything if we crash!" Jonathan looked between Steve and I.

"We're not gonna crash if it's like a Bopper!" Steve argued.

"It's almost gone!" Dustin cried out.

"Steve, go!" I yelled and he slammed his foot down on the gas as the car drove closer to the closing portal.

"It's not gonna work. It's not gonna work." Dustin chanted.

"We're not gonna make it!" Jonathan yelled.

"Don't be scared! At least we'll die together!" I wrapped my arms around Steve's seat to hold onto his chest.

"Not helping!" Nancy shouted.

"It's not a Bopper. Stop!" Dustin said.

"Slow down!" Jonathan begged.

We drove right through the portal and everyone screamed until we made it through to the other side. The dark blue hue of the Upside Down was back and our screams turned into laughs as we survived.

"We did it!" Jonathan cheered, shaking Steve's shoulder.

"Signal?" Nancy glanced at Dustin.

"Strong!" Dustin smiled at the rising numbers and we sighed in relief.

"What a ride." I then squeezed my arms, which were still around Steve. "Good job, sweetheart!"

"We got you, son of a bitch! We got you!" Dustin banged his fist on the car door as we followed the Demogorgon.

Once Steve's Beamer ended up getting stuck in a giant wall, it sank in that we might actually need more help.

I took a deep breath and looked around as I tried to push any sense of fear out of my mind.

I turned to Dustin. "Try Hopper on the radio. Maybe the signal will work since we're here."
