The whole early morning Kai had been extremely jittery. He had been talking to Ethan via chat for a while now, and was extremely happy every time he received a reply. The topic was the tutoring Ethan was supposed to give Kai. Just as they had decided the night before, this would take place at the smart student's house.

Because Kai didn't really want others to know about it.

That's why he hadn't told his friends about it and had turned away from them so they couldn't hear. He didn't want to be seen tutoring or how hard he sometimes struggled with the subject matter. For seven years, Kai had hidden his dyslexia well and not let on. Because he was embarrassed, he had always avoided reading anything aloud or even talking about his learning process. He hadn't even told Taehyun, because he would have helped him, but the glasses-wearer was a bit impatient by nature.

And Kai could not use impatience, but needed someone to help him with his difficulties and he hoped he had found that person in Ethan. Because he had liked Ethan from the very beginning and Kai could not deny that every time Ethan smiled, his heart pounded.

Heart palpitations, because this radiant smile warmed his chest.

And even as the member of the famous clique stood at the door of the little cottage, Kai felt that tingling sensation on his skin again. So strong that he had to shake himself once vigorously to regain consciousness.

His gaze wandered over the large, wooden door to the garden next to it, which was surrounded by a large hedge so that one could not see inside. Nevertheless, the tall young man stood on his tiptoes just to satisfy his curiosity, but he couldn't really see anything. Instead, Kai heard the chirping of birds and felt as if he were miles away from the big city, although he was almost in the center of Seoul, only in a neighborhood that was not so busy.

A neighborhood where small families built a quiet, comfortable life.

Giving a comfortable sigh, Kai adjusted his denim jacket and the backpack on his shoulder, squinting his eyes as he tried to read the names on the post office box's tag that had almost disappeared due to wear and tear.

Annoyed that he couldn't read it, the Huening turned his head slightly, but it didn't help.

"J-Jiii ..." he began with pursed lips, also leaning forward a bit and trying to make the letters more legible by scratching the surface of the sign with his fingernails, thinking there was just some dirt on it. But instead, another letter disappeared and Kai pulled his hand back, startled. "Shit!" he cursed softly and let it disappear into his jacket pocket. He lowered his gaze and began to pout a little.

When Lee Heeseung opened the door for him and showed an affectionate smile, Kai's pout disappeared immediately.

"Well slept in?" asked Ethan, who could still remember well the state of last night.

Kai had called him in his drunkenness and he immediately noticed that the student was even more jittery than usual. But the expression on Kai's cute face brightened and he also let out a big grin, "I always am!"
