"I wish I had gotten around to shaving," was the whine of Kim Yerim that Byulyi got to hear.
Yerim, a freshly dyed black-haired beauty, seemed as if she had forgotten the fight with her friend. The scuffle, the hair pulling and the insults seemed as if it never happened and thus everything seemed like peace, joy, pancake between the girls again.
Still, getting tired of those comments sometimes, the blonde rolled her eyes and averted her gaze.
"There's no one in the pool today anyway. Especially not at this time of day," claimed one of Yerim's two hangers-on, who had sworn eternal allegiance to her and were completely devoted.
The other had not been able to come today.
Frowning, Byulyi stood there. She had had a reluctance to go along with the girls in advance, because it had not escaped her notice how artificially friendly they were to her. "Why did you want to go to the swimming pool anyway?" the blonde asked.
"Well," the brown-haired lapdog snapped snappishly, "because we want to do something for our figure. It couldn't hurt you either, Byul!" Her gaze wandered disparagingly over her fellow student's body, admitting to herself that Moon Byulyi was anything but overweight. "Well, I didn't mean you were fat, but you have to stay fit," she therefore added meekly.
"Quiet now!" determined Yerim with a quick snap of her fingers. "We're here to have fun."
Together they headed for the double-sided door that led directly to the pool area, but just before that the girls turned in to the side door that led to the locker rooms.
Somewhat puzzled, Byulyi walked behind the two, wondering why she had decided to give the girls a second chance. But after the two friends had apologized to the blonde, almost with tears in their eyes, the Moon had relented and turned a blind eye once again.
On the condition that they didn't say a word about the boys.
Nevertheless, the Korean still felt a little stupid for giving in so easily. She swore to herself that as soon as the girls started acting weird, she would take a step back and distance herself from them again. Besides, this way the blonde could better find out what they really thought about Beomgyu and his friends, if they might have planned something against her.
And above all: why they had dragged Soobin into it.
All three female students each turned their attention to one of the lockers and changed their clothes.
"Well?", Yerim unexpectedly called out through the cubicle door to Byulyi, who was still finishing changing. "What about Soobin, anyway?" the beauty inquired, leaning back against the blue door.
"What about him?" asked Byulyi back suspiciously.
She didn't trust the girls at all and didn't know what exactly that question was about now. Surely they wanted to find out if something had happened between them, and the blonde didn't want to get involved in that. After all, she was still trying to forget what had happened at the birthday party ...
