"How was it at the party?" asked Kim Junmyeon curiously of his colleague, wiping the counter of the stall in the movie theater with a gentle smile on his lips. He knew Changkyun had been there, and he was burning to know what had happened. After all, it was the party of the year; something exciting must have happened. Even though Suho couldn't go because he knew it would be awkward for Beomgyu, he had still apologized to him again via private chat and wished him a happy birthday. But now he wanted to inquire if everything had gone well, because he would not get to see Choi personally for a while.
Im Changkyun, who was in the process of arranging the various kinds of candy, smiled to himself. He looked thoughtful, but you could tell he had had a good time.
To the surprise of the oldest cinema worker, it was not only Changkyun who responded, but Ethan as well. Both responded at the same time with a, "Was really awesome!" which made Suho wonder.
Both of them were enjoying themselves at the party of Choi Yeonjun and Choi Beomgyu?
Hoshi, who used to sit on a small stool that was next to the private room entrance just before the movie theater closed, playing on his smartphone instead of getting caught up in the stress of his colleagues, looked up at the same time as Suho and looked at the two of them.
"You were both there?" the nerd asked.
And Suho still couldn't hide his amazement at that either. He was really surprised that Beomgyu had invited someone from the lowest layer, when he was embarrassed to even be seen with them. It had already irritated him that the black-haired man had invited him. Nevertheless, he was glad about it, because that gave them both a little more self-confidence.
"Yeah, it was really just a coincidence that we met there," Changkyun returned, glancing at his colleague. "Ethan was invited by someone else, though, and Beomgyu had asked me."
Jerkily and synchronously, all heads moved to Ethan, who was in the process of arranging the chewing gum and pretended to be oblivious to the conversation.
That this was not the case, however, was revealed by the gentle smile on his lips.
"Who did you get invited by?", Hoshi wanted to know, even getting up from his stool and stowing his smartphone in his pocket. Curiosity burned on his face and that only widened the grin on Ethan's face.
Especially when he thought about Kai.
"From someone at the university," he returned in reply.
Suho and Hoshi exchanged a glance with each other. There were more and more question marks on their faces.
Why did Ethan have to make it so exciting, too?
Couldn't he just give a name?
Skeptically, Suho looked at the smile on his colleague's face, "So, what's with the grin? Won't you tell us a little more? What's his name?"
