Once the Guardians and Lorelai had reached the cave, they got to work making a tunnel to send the lullabies to, or well. Lorelai got to work, she used her magic to clear a tunnel and a room that they could use for the time being to make dream sand.

"And then when this is all over, I'll make a teleporter that'll send the lullabies up to your castle." she added when she was done. Sandman gave a thumbs up to show his approval. "Alrighty then, let's start building this thing." Jack said as they got out the sacks that held the materials that they'd needed.

Many hours later, the makeshift dream machine was done and running. Tooth used her teeth memories to fuel the machine and pretty soon, they had some dream sand. The machine was nothing like the old one, it looked more like a broken down air conditioner than a majestic magic machine which gave children good dreams.

"It looks..... ugly." Jack said truthfully when they had finished it. "Well, it's the best we can do with what little time we have right now. It's temporary. The important thing is that it works." Lorelai replied.

Sandy turned it on and watched happily as it began to produce golden sand. Grabbing a handful, he began to produce images above his head. Looking up at them, and then at his friends, he fist pumped the air. Yes!

"Good to have you back mate." Bunny said, smiling.

As they walked down the mountain, they discussed what to do next. "Well, I'll have to head over to the Sandcastle to get rid of the catalyst, the question is what else?" Lorelai said.

"Well, Christmas is in less than one week, and I could use some help." North said. "Good idea, and who knows, maybe Pitch'll show up and try to ruin it like he did with Easter that one time." Jack agreed.

"That sounds like a plan. Let's make a quick pit stop at the castle, you have food there right? Bunny asked Lorelai. She nodded. "Good, I'm starving. And then we'll head to the surface." Bunny added.

The castle soon came into view, the clock tower reading 8:32.

Once inside the castle, Lorelai began to lead them through the hallways once again. Jack followed at the end of the group, when he heard children's whispers.

"But what if she's the freak one?"

"Oh no, I don't want to go near her again."

He stopped walking and paused, looking for the sound. "Jack, aren't you coming?" Tooth asked him. "Uh, no. I think I'm going to stay behind guys, I'll meet you there." he replied.

"You don't know where we're going Frosty, you'll get lost in these mazes of corridors." Lorelai reminded him. "I'll be fine. Just keep going." he assured them. Taking his word, they turned around and kept walking.

Looking down a corridor, he saw two small children standing near him, looking at a small girl at the end of the hallway on the stairs, probably listening to their conversation like he was, her long black hair blocking her face from sight.

"Do we chance it? What if she isn't the freak one?" the boy asked the girl.

"If she's not then she can ask to join our game when she asks. I'm not going near her. She'll send us to Hell." the girl replied.

"Alright then, let's go before she shows her face." the boy agreed.

"Hey, it's not very nice to call someone a freak." Jack spoke up, defending the mystery girl.
