It was fast, and it was painstakingly slow all at the same time.
The ghost disappeared, and Elizabella appeared, before Min's blade. In milliseconds, Elizabella flipped back into a backwards handstand and rolled out of the way of the blade, as they'd done so many times in practice. She was on her feet again before Min finished her lunge.
It was Elizabella, as she'd always been. Red hair, green-blue eyes that matched her soul, pale face, gangly limbs.
Min froze. So did Elizabella. They stood there, for what felt like hours, staring open mouthed in surprise at their long-awaited reunion. Then the others returned.
They began to appear, fading slowly back to color, transparency diminishing, becoming opaque again.
Min looked around, at the familiar faces, faces she had wished to see again.
"You're back, you're all-" she was cut off by the unholy screech of the shadows, whom also appeared.

Jack was very, very confused. So much had happened, a vengeful spirit had appeared, threatened everyone, taunted the Guardians, and then , a reaper, Min, he thought her name was, had stood in her way when she'd tried to kill Lorelai.
Can Lorelai even die? he wondered. Not important, why didn't the ghost kill Min?
He gathered that they all knew each other, it seemed that the ghost was an old friend who was now....possessed?
Now the ghost was no longer a ghost, it was a girl, likely not much older than he, with bright red hair.
There were others there, people he did not know, who had simply faded into existence. He looked down at Melinoe and her sisters, who sat at his feet, next to Lorelai who had moved next to him.
"Do you know what's happening? Or who these people are?" he asked them.
"The Ancient Warriors. Mother's army from before we were born. But, they've been fighting shadows forever. How could they be here....." Melinoe trailed off, working through her mind for a possible reason for this event.
He turned to ask Lorelai what was happening, only to find her, mouth open, and eyes wide in surprise.
"Lorelai? What's happening?" Jack asked her.
Lorelai was frozen, as if she hadn't heard him, but eventually she did.
".....I....I have absolutely no idea..." she said slowly.
"Is this bad thing?" North asked her, hand on the hilt of his sword.
"NO, no. This is a great thing, this is a very, very great thing. Actually, forget great. This is the BEST thing." her face morphed into the biggest grin.
"1,000,0000 bad things and then, THIS. I'm going to have to thank Karma after I go and beat them up." she muttered to herself, though it was fairly loud and giddy.
"Why, who are these people?" Tooth asked.
"Oh yeah. Guardians, meet my army, the Ancient Warriors-" she was cut off by an unholy screech. They all turned quickly to the origin of the sound. A great big monster made of shadows appeared, eyes blazing with dark power and pure rage.
"-And the twelve foot shadow monster who they have been fighting for the past thousand years. Man, this really isn't my day is it? Curse you Karma." she continued, gritting her teeth.

The warriors drew their weapons. After one thousand years, you'd think that they'd be tired, unable to keep on fighting. After all, just minutes before, they were collapsing in exhaustion.
