Lorelai fought through the chaos, the screams and grunts of effort surrounding her. The fog made it impossible to see, except for slight glimpses of the reapers around her. The warrior spirits flew above, destroying parts of the sand, though it did nothing as it seemed to reappear immediately.

Almost tripping over one of her Reapers who had been struck to the ground, she helped him up. "My queen, there's too many. We're fighting a losing battle. It's too crowded in here." he said, picking up his weapon.

"Then let's get out of here. Get them out of the castle, outside, where there's more space. C'mon, move toward the doors, we'll flush em out." she decided, before moving away from him to try and find the door.

It was impossible though, the darkness felt endless. She ran in a single direction, trying to find a wall, but she was somehow led back, by the push of the sand around her. "What?" she whispered confused.

It's hopeless guys. They re-knit themselves the moment you break them. There's just too many" she heard Tooth say, from nowhere and everywhere.

"No. No such thing as no hope. There must be a way." she heard North's loud, frustrated voice. She began to run, in the direction that she thought they were. A few moments later, however, she heard him yell "Sandy! You are genius!" in the opposite direction. Confused, she stopped.

She began to run in a single direction, voices surrounding her. She stopped when she saw a reaper on the ground, darkness devouring her. Gasping, she knelt down and placed a hand to her chest, destroying the spreading darkness. The girl got up, panicked.

"They're picking us off one by one! The sand's grabbing some of us and pulling us off the ground and the rest are getting attacked and left to be destroyed by it!" she said, terrified.

"Get up, we need to get out of here, try to find the door. We're going to push it out." she said.

From all around her, she heard Tooth and Jack speak, most likely about the same thing she'd discovered. She stood still, confused at how they were all around her. Then she realized what was happening. Any sound anyone made could be heard by all, in every direction to confuse them.

It was then that the sand began to press against her, pushing her in a different direction. "Hey!" she cried, trying to fight against it, but it was too strong.

It pulled her to the center of the ballroom, where the sand created a small room, like the eye of a storm. In the center of the entire room, was the mastermind behind this attack stood smiling.

"Lorelai." he said.

"Pitch." she whispered back, trying her best to contain her fear, anger, nostalgia, everything. Moments later, she launched herself at him, sword drawn. A moment before she'd have struck him, he moved out of the way, quick as a cat.

"Well then, pleasure to see you too." he chuckled, brushing his robe off.

"What do you want?" she asked, teeth clenched.

"Me? I just want to talk, like adults. But it seems like you just want to fight." he smirked.

"You know me so well." she responded, moving forward once again to attack. He blocked her blow with his sand and threw her away, like he'd done the night of her attempted assassination. She got up quickly and ran at him again, striking for his legs this time.

He grabbed her by the back of her dress and held her up off of the ground, like she was a kitten. When she raised her blade to chop off his arm, he dropped her on the ground before moving away again.

"Have you had enough dear?" he asked, amused.

"You wish." she replied, using her magic like dust to blind him, before moving forward, blade slashing back and forth so fast that it was just a blur. And finally, a hit. With a gasp, he threw her away from him with his sand.
