To recap since it's been a couple of chapters since we last saw the Guardians: Lorelai stormed off, Jack went after her, Lorelai pushed him off and vanished, Pitch shows up

Jack spun around quickly, turning his staff onto the King of Nightmares. But Pitch did not even react to the staff pointed at him. Instead he knocked it away with his hand.

"Hello Jack," Pitch grins at him.

"What have you done with Lorelai's children?" he asks, voice cold as ice.

"Oh don't worry; they're safe with their father," he tells Jack, as he walks past him; hands clasped behind his back.

"Yeah, I doubt that," Jack scoffs, keeping his staff set on Pitch.

"Mm, believe it or not it is the truth: they are where they belong; at their father's side. And soon their mother will rejoin us and we will be together again,"

"Lorelai will never go back to you; she hates you," Jack reminds him. Pitch grins coldly.

"And I suppose you think that she loves you?" he asks mockingly. "We shared a life for over a thousand years; do you really think that she could forget that? For a childish boy that she's known for weeks?" Jack looks down as Pitch circles him. He leans in close to Jack's ear. "In her eyes you are nothing compared to me,"

"I may be nothing but at least I am not 'the biggest threat to myself and my children'," Jack turns to look him in the eyes.

"She might love you but she knows she can never return to you," Pitch glances down.

"You're right. She can never return; not while you're keeping her away," Pitch replied.

"What?" Jack asks before a cloud of black sand knocks him down from behind. He hits the ground hard.

"How can she? When you have had the Moon place a spell on her?" Jack rolls out of the way of another blast of black sand. He gets to his knees before being thrown against a tree. Ow.

"But-" The sand encases Jack's body and holds him against the tree. "If I dispose of you, then whatever enchantment you have placed upon her will break. And she will finally come home,"

"I won't kill you. No; I will leave that for my Love; when the spell is broken she is sure to wish to take vengeance. So instead we shall keep you..." they vanished from the forest and into a dark cavern.

"Where the moon has kept me all these years," Pitch drops him and takes his staff before disappearing, leaving Jack in the darkness.

Short chapter but hey; at least I posted.
