“Ready na ba ang action plan n'yo?” tanong ni Mr. Avila, SSG Advicer namin at teacher namin sa Creative Writing. Kasalukuyang nasa office niya ako.
“Almost, Sir. We will be able to show it on Monday. Sorry if it takes long.”
“It's okay. What are your plans for this month?”
“Natapos naman po ang Teachers' Day celebration. But nalalapit na po ang exam day. We plan to open a contest po.”
“What contest?”
“Those with highest score on exam will be rewarded. For the Junior High students, those with highest score in Math and Science subjects. As for the Senior High, those with highest score in Research and General Mathematics. May sponsors na rin po for the prizes. Cash and token.”
“Hmm... Let's do that. Send me the details so I could print a copy. By the way, what token?”
“Okay, Sir. Thank you for approving. As for the token, water bottle po and donut.”
“This will make them review well. Who are those sponsors?”
“Yes, Sir. The sponsors are my brothers, and a youth from our church. Ate Rose, if you remember her.”
“Yeah. I order a lot from her,” sabi ni sir saka medyo napatawa.
Napangiti naman ako. “By the way, we plan to conduct reviewing session for grades 7 and 8 especially on Math, Science, Filipino, ang English subjects. There are volunteered Senior High students who will teach. Sir, we ask you to inform the other teachers so they could make a list of those who really need guidance.”
He smiled. “Sure. Thank you for that. Again, send me the details. Okay?”
I bowed down. “Yes, Sir!”
Hindi pa pala ako kumakain ng snacks pero busog pa naman ako. Nagtungo na lang ako sa classroom namin matapos makapagpaalam kay sir.
“Gusto mo,” sabi ni Olivia sabay abot sa akin ng tinapay.
Kinuha ko naman ito. “Salamat.”
“Welcome. Ano sabi ni sir Avila?”
“He approved.”
Napatango siya. “Nice naman. Nga pala, kayo ni Anthony? Kumusta?”
“Ha?”
“Hindi mo talaga siya gusto?”
“Hindi nga.”
“Kawawa naman siya. I sense something, parang hindi ka niya pinapansin ngayon.”
“Mabuti nga ‘yon e.”
She chuckled. “Grabe ha. Ikaw naman kaya ang pumansin sa kaniya.”
“I will. Only when it's needed. We are both in an organization.”
“Sabagay. Oh Siya, maiwan na muna kita.”
Saan siya pupunta? Mukhang malapit na kaya magsimula ang klase.
Hindi na nga ako pinapansin ni Anthony. Mabuti naman. Uwian na namin kaya naman naglalakad na ako pauwi. Na-monitor ko naman na ang Grade 7 students kung naglinis ba sila and they did well.
“Bologa!”
Napatalon ako dahil sa gulat.
Natawa naman ang walang hiyang gumulat sa akin. “Sorry, Zen. Ang tagal n’yo naman ma-dismiss.”
