Raghu kept talking about the case and investigation as I fed another morsel of food to my wife. My attention was undivided as I heard the news on the radio.
"What's this case Raghu is investigating?" Madhvi asked with her mouth full of food. I nudged her shoulder with mine to stop chatting and eating. She grumbled as she swallowed the food.
When I fed her another, without looking at her but at the radio, she bit my fingers hard.
"Ouch, Madhvi!" I groaned, and she grinned while chewing the food. Though I found her cute, I glared at her, saying, "What are you? A child?"
"You were the one who was looking at the Radio as if you were hearing through your eyes," Madhvi complained, and I rolled my eyes.
"What do you want me to do? Look only at you all day and all night?" I asked with a fake annoyance, to which her big eyes fixed on my face. Before I could speak another word, her fingers curled around my ear as she twisted without any mercy.
"What do you think of yourself, mister? Now that your son is safely delivered, you don't care about me anymore. Then comes your other wife named 'Work', snatching you all away from me. You give me the least attention, and you expect me to be cool when you decide to spend your spare time with the radio news? Why? Can't get enough of your friend's voice, huh?" She asked before giving a final tug at my earlobe that I'm sure must've reddened. I wouldn't be shocked if it did tear a little.
I winced touching the abused area.
"What, Madhvi? I was just playing."
"Stop yelling! Vansh might wake up," she chimed as she looked at my little smurf lying beside us on the floor with his head over Madhvi's lap. She caressed his hair lovingly. I smiled, but it faltered as she glared my way.
"You know, I was just kidding."
"But I was serious. You don't care about me," she grumbled with a cute pout. I chuckled as I offered another morsel of food, which she begrudgingly accepted.
"Me too," Vansh mumbled while rubbing his eyes. We both stared down at him as he shifted his position and slept again. Madhvi giggled, looking at him.
"Look. He feels left out, too."
"Yeah, okay. I'm sorry, my lord. I'll try being responsible from now on," I said with an apologetic face, and she nodded her head with a stern look. I laughed and continued feeding her food until she stopped me. I may have tried a little bit, but she fake-gagged, and I know nothing will convince her when she's done.
Even though I had my dinner already, I ate the leftover food.
"Vir! I asked you to never do this again and," she whispered
