"Wish them happy holidays from me" I mumbled against dad chest.

"Will do" he said back.

When we pulled away he smiled slightly and brushed my hair.

"If there is anything- go to Minerva's or write me a letter"

"Yeah yeah I know"

"Of course you do" he rolled his eyes. "I should get going. Don't cause any trouble"

"Can't make promises"

He shook his head and we both smiled.

"Go now, they are waiting for you"

He took his bags and opened the Gates of Hogwarts.

"I hope you start missing me" I said

"Never" I let out a shocked gasp and before I could say anything, he apparated to the Malfoy's manor.

I pursed my lips and smiled sadly. Only now I realized how cold it was outside. I adjusted the scarf around my neck and started to walk towards the castle.

There were kids outside, playing snowball fight, making snowmen. They were having fun. I only wished my childhood was as good as theirs.

Well, my childhood wasn't terrible, and Severus was a good father. But I always in the back of my mind missed a mother figure.

Minerva, my godmother, always spent time with me and tried her best to show me the women's world, but it still wasn't the same.

But I'll always be thankful for her. For trying.

I smirked when I see one of the kids getting hit in his face by a snowball. The laugh, the joy. I averted my eyes away and opened the doors of the castle.

"Good morning Filch"

He grumbled something under his breath. It seemed like the Weasley twins had pranked him once again.

I even felt somewhat sorry for him.

I walked around a corner and saw him. Talking with Potter.

"Good morning professor, Potter"

"Good morning miss Snape. What brings you out so early in the morning?"

"I sent dad away. and the weather is beautiful today, thought I would take a little stroll around the yard"

"The weather is beautiful indeed. Would you mind coming to my classroom when you find some time. I wanted to talk about your essay"

"Yeah, of course" I smiled and nodded them both goodbye.

I didn't do much in my dorm. I read for an hour to finish with the book that Remus gave me on the day of Yule Ball.

And then I chose it was time to visit him. I made sure I looked good.

I took the book, put on my shoes and made my way over to his classroom. The door was ajar, but he wasn't inside.

I heard music from upstairs. I quietly walked upstairs and leaned against the doorframe.

He was sitting in his office chair, he was wearing usual clothes. I still had to get used to this sight.

"Is there a day when you aren't grading papers?"

He looked up to me and we both smiled at each other.

"Actually, there is yeah. It would be the day what you are spending with me"

"Hm" I smirked and stepped inside. I walked over to him table, I felt his eyes on me.
