Wolfsbane

"Minerva wants to have a word with you, after that come to my office"

I looked up from my bowl and nodded.

"I hate it when he just sneaks behind me. Scares the shit out of me all the time" I mumbled. Morgan and Lucian just laughed. I shut them up with my death glare. It was another useful thing I learnt from dad.

"Okay boys" I sighed up and ruffled their hair, they didn't like that at all "I'll see you around"

"And I still can't have a kiss?" Morgan whined

"Only in your dreams Rosier"

"I must go to sleep then" I laughed and turned around. For some reason I looked up to the Head Table and my eyes connected with Lupin ones. I raised an eyebrow, and he shook his head, looking away.

I sighed and made my way to Minerva's office.

She told me to sit down and get comfortable until she went to make tea for us. Once she came back, she handed me my cup and I took a sip.

"Now, tell me what happened. Severus refused to tell me" She thought what happened in the summer, why I ended up in hospital.

I sighed and put the cup on the table.

"It wasn't that big of a deal Minnie" I started "I went out on a party, got anxiety and then I collapsed at some point. People around me were all muggles so they called ambulance. Next day I woke up in the hospital"

"But why were you there for so long? Two months"

"Because of my anxiety and eating disorders"

"Oh dear" she sighed sympathetically

"I am better now, no need to worry"

"Of course I will worry Venus, I am your godmother. I know very well that Severus..."

"That Severus?"

"Well, he has his own problems, I have to take care of you just as much as he does"

"You know, even if he won't ever say it then I think we both know how thankful he is that you are in our life"

Minerva took my hand and squeezed it, smiling.

"He will never admit it, I know. I have seen that man crying, not knowing what to do with his life while holding you in his arms. He loves you a lot Venus"

"I know"

We didn't mean to get emotional, but it somehow went that way. We sipped our tea and talked for almost an hour. She had a lot of grading to do.

I didn't remember if he wanted me to come to his classroom or office, so I first went to the classroom. He wasn't there. Thankfully the rooms weren't far away from each other.  I knocked on his office door, silence.

I huffed and turned around, looking around, not knowing where to go. The door was also locked so I just sat down next to the door and waited for him to come back.

"Twenty minutes" I exclaimed "I waited twenty minutes. Where the hell you were?"

"I had business to attend to" he opened his office door and stormed in as usual. I closed the door behind myself and walked in front of the door, sitting down on his chair. I took off my shoes and pulled my legs up to my chest.

I looked how he searched for some ingredients and when he found them, he walked over to a cauldron.

"What are you going to make?"

"Wolfsbane"

"Wolfsbane? Did you finally get a friend, a werewolf one?"

"No. I don't have friend nor will ever have"

"What about me?"

"You are my daughter"

"But also a friend. Minerva is your friend too"

"Tell me what Lupin wanted from you" He changed the subject.

"Uh nothing. I have to go to his classroom on Monday and Friday to tell him how my things are going"

"That's it?"

"Yep"

"Do you want to make that potion?"

"I better now, I might mess things up. The ingredients are pretty expensive, aren't they?"

"Yes, the ingredients are expensive but if you want to work on potions in the future, you might as well get here and learn how to do it"

I put my shoes on once again and dragged myself where the cauldron was. I took a chair and sat down.

"No but seriously, why wolfsbane?"

"Albus orders"

"That man is so weird"

"You used to play boardgames with him when you were a child"

"I don't remember anything"

"You were very young"

I spent my whole afternoon in his office. I helped him to brew the potion, at first, I only looked but soon wanted to do it by myself. Well, he told me what to do.

He told me what was going on in the school and what have happened. Of course, he had visited me in the hospital, but the doctors didn't let him stay for long.

"Oh, uh about the tests and all that what I have to do now" I started

"Yes?"

"I wanted to do potions first. So uhm what do I have to do?"

He sighed and walked to another room. When he came back, he had a book in his hand.

"The tests were very easy; I don't understand how they still failed"

I chuckled and took the book.

"You need to make three potions and three tests"

"What potions?"

"Sleeping draught, amortentia and the third one is you own decision, but it can't be something very easy"

"Okeydokey"

"Come here on Monday, you can start then"

"How's quidditch going? I can't have my position back, can I?"

"First, go and talk with Flint. If he disagrees then I will have a w-"

"No, if he doesn't then he doesn't want me. I can't use the card that you are my dad, you know?"

he sighed and didn't say anything

"I'll go and talk with him; I'll be back soon. Love you" I called and stormed out of the classroom.

"Love you too" he said quietly.

"Flint" I called just before he could step into his dorm. He looked back at me and grinned. I wanted to puke "Uh, can I have a word?"

"What is it?"

"Is there a chance I can get my position back? I really want to play"

"You aren't fit for that anymore"

"What" I scoffed

"You've got fat, if you lose your-" before he could say anything else I punched him in the jaw. "What the fuck"

"Don't you ever go to girl and say things like that. A fucking piece of shit you are"

I really didn't mean for things to go that far, but... it was done now and there was no turning back.
