Miss Lewis

The break passed way too quickly.

The castle was filled with kids. Halls were not as quiet as they were few days ago. Teachers seemed busier, but also happier to see everyone.

I was glad that the tables were in their usual spots. And I was glad, that Lucian and Morgan were back.

I really couldn't handle to sit another week with professors.

We gossiped everyone the whole breakfast. Sometimes I glanced at the Head Table. One time I found Remus looking at me.

We shared a subtle nod and that was it. But my stomach was filled with butterflies.

"You heard we have DADA with Ravenclaws now?"

"What?"

"Yeah, better than gryffindorks though" Lucian said

I furrowed my brows. I never really realized the hate between houses. Yeah, I wasn't fan of Gryffindors either, but I never really hated them.

But thinking now, I was glad we had lessons with Ravenclaw. Slytherin and Ravenclaw got along well.

"We should go to early, to get good seats"

"Yeah"

Defense Against the Dark Arts was our first lesson today. We practically ran to the class. It was empty so we took our usual seats.

This time I didn't have to sit in front of the class. I sat to the very back and boys sat in front of me.

It wasn't long before other students started to fill in. Few were mad that the best seats were taken, but they didn't have any right to yell at us for that.

"Can I sit with you?"

I looked up, ready to say no, but when I saw it was Abby- I smiled and nodded.

"Of course"

"I don't understand why they changed the groups, but at least you are here so it's good"

I chuckled at that.

"How was your break? You stayed here the whole time?"

"Yeah I stayed here, it was okay. How was yours?"

"It was really fun. I went to Paris with my family"

"Oh, that's so cool"

"Yes"

My attention moved to the handsome professor who just walked in. He looked at the seat where I usually sat and furrowed his brows slightly.

When he sat on his chair he looked around and smiled when he saw me. I sent him a small smile back.

"Do you have plans after lessons today?" Abby asked

"No"

"Wanna study with me?"

"Uhm sure"

Remus clapped his hands together to get everyone's attention.

"Hello seventh years"
he let his eyes wander around the room

"there has been changes in school system, which lead to group changes. I think you all know each other by the seven years of studying together and have no issue to get along well

Now, it's your last few months in school so all the teachers expect you to work hard. Please, do not skip any lessons and do your homework"

He let the words settle in for a moment before he started to talk about plans for this week.
