𝓤𝓷𝓽𝓲𝓵 𝓘 𝓯𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓭 𝔂𝓸𝓾 || 𝓡𝓮𝓶𝓾𝓼 𝓛𝓾𝓹𝓲𝓷

Near the end

We were standing in the middle of our room, our song playing on the background as we held each other.

We couldn't pull apart, we did not want to pull apart, knowing everything was going to be a disaster soon enough.

"I love you" I whispered against his chest

I felt his grip tightening around me. He placed his lips on top of my head, placing a longing kiss there.

"We will come back home together, yeah?"

Remus sighed.

"Promise me" my voice cracked.

"I love you, Venus, so much" he whispered into my ear, placing a soft kiss on my jaw this time. "So, so much"

I pulled my face out of his chest and looked at him, brushing my thumb over his cheekbone.

"Remus I need to tell you something" I whispered.

"What is it my love?"

"I am... I-"

The door burst open and Sirius looked at us, eyes wide.

"Harry is back at Hogwarts"

Five simple words and I felt my heart dropping. We both looked at Sirius, hoping it was some kind of a very bad joke.

"We need to go"

Remus gave him a curt nod. Sirius closed the door, giving us a moment alone.

Remus cupped my cheeks and pulled me into a passionate kiss. His hands explored my body like it was his first time touching me, on the  back of our minds we knew the possibility of this being the last time.

We pulled away, both of us panting heavily.

"We're coming back together" he whispered finally "I...promise you"

Flashes, screaming, fear. That was all that surrounded me when I leaned against a wall, my side cut opened from a spell, blood pooling out of it.

I had no idea where was Remus, or Sirius, or my father, or anyone else.

There were already so many lifeless bodies laying on the ground. The worst was to see kids, their eyes closed, their chests not moving up and down like they should be.

I took some shaky breaths, my vision blurry, and pushed myself away from the wall, running Merlin knows where.

I ran and ran until I found Harry, Ron and Hermione crouching among the ruins. Before I could ask what was happening, I heard his voice. Voldemort's voice...and then my father's.

My eyes widened and I looked at fear at the trio before quietly walking over and looking into the building.

"You killed Dumbledore, Severus"

My heart tightened as the words hit me. Tears in my eyes. I wanted to get up, but Hermione hold me back.

"While you live, the Elder Wand cannot truly be mine. You have been a good and faithful servant, Severus....but only I can live forever"

"My lord...."

Thud.

"Nagini, kill"

As soon as Voldemort was gone, I rushed up and ran through the door, stilling when I saw my father's body on the ground, gasping for air.

"D-dad"

He weakly looked over at me and Harry when we got next to him.

"Take them" he said whilst tears rolled down his cheek, motioning on them. "Please"
