Letter from Albus

Months and months have passed.

So much and yet nothing have happened.

For the start, me and Theo were still the same. Not in a relationship but almost like living together. It was rare when I was at my own apartment.

Abby had went to do her job at Hogwarts. We met quite a lot of times. There were times when we just randomly bumped together in the hallways as I had met father or Minerva. And then there were times when we had just spent weekends together, getting drunk or going to cafes.

Abby invited me to the Triwizard Tournament when there were tasks. Even though I shouldn't have, I hold my breathe every time when Harry competed. Dad had told me all the things how he got into the tournament, they believed it was Harry himself who did it, but there was no proof.

That boy always got into troubles. I had no idea how. It was actually quite sad. He was so young and had to go through all of that.

But there was another reason to go to the tasks. I had made a friend as you could say. Viktor Krum.

The first moment I saw him, his gaze was already on me. I smirked and he nodded at me. At one point he had sneaked up to me and had started a conversation. Of course at first we talked about quidditch and then about this tournament.

I learnt that he was actually a pleasant person.

When it was time for the last task, I couldn't be there. I had wished Harry a lot of luck. He had even asked me why I couldn't be there. The reason for that was quite simple. Theo and I were going on a vacation.

Yes, we could have moved the vacation a week forward, but I wasn't really that interested in the tournament so I didn't really care what was going on there. And also, we did not have any trainings in quidditch as well in that moment.

So we packed our bags, the kids were now with their mother, and with an easy spell we apparated to Croatia.

We spent the first three days there, just walking around and making some amazing memories. When it was the tournament day we went to Montenegro. I loved that city. It was hard to act as a muggle when you had no idea what was going on in that world, but thankfully, Theo was smarter than me.

We had spent an amazing night together but nothing could have prepared us for the next day.

We woke up to a owl tapping on our window. Theo quickly let the bird in and walked with the letter to the bedroom.

"It's for the both of us" he said, confusion over his face.

I reached my hand out and he gave it to me. I opened the letter and recognized immediately from who it was.

"It's Albus Dumbledore" I said "Maybe Harry won"

"Why would he write that to us?" Theo asked. Theo peeked over my shoulder and we both turned white in our faces as we read every line what was on there.

When we were at the end, we both did not say a word.

Theo slowly took the letter from me and placed it aside. I turned to look at him, fear in my eyes.

He licked his lips and wrapped his arms around me.

"I don't want to" I whispered, a lump in my throat.

Theodore swallowed hard and hold me in his embrace, not saying a word. He shut his eyes and only hoped it was a nightmare. That he would wake up in few hours and nothing like that happened.

But he knew it was not a dream.

"We have some time to think things through"

"We don't really have any other choice, right?"

"I don't know, Venus, I don't know"

"The first meeting is today, I- I don't want to go"

"We don't have to go today"

"I am scared, Theo"

"I am here for you" he whispered and kissed the top of my head. I cuddled even closer to him and shut my eyes tightly.

"Albus gives us a week to make a decision, let's not think about it today. We are clearly shocked and are not ready to- to make that decision just like that"

"Yeah" I whispered "but I think we both know that there is no other choice than joining with the Order of the Phoenix"

"Let's think about it another day. What do you say, let's go outside and grab a ice cream for breakfast"

"Sounds very good. Oh and ice coffee, I love it"

It was my new obsession. I tried it once in the muggle world and fell in love with it.

We got dresses and made our way outside to the Montenegro streets. It was really warm and sunny today. But as usual, I wore long pants and long-sleeved shirt.

We bought waffles from a guy and thankfully I got my coffee as well. We sat down under a tree and ate our breakfast in silence.

Theo really craved for some ice cream so as I stayed under the tree, Theo made his way over to the same guy and bought two ice creams.

"Here you go, love"

The nickname. I was just used to it by now. He didn't mean it that way...as did Remus. For Theo it was just a sweet nickname for me.

The day went quietly. We tried to keep our minds occupied with something else than the thought of fighting in a war.

Theo and I went to the beach, sunbathed, went for a swim and at night made an amazing dinner together.
