I couldn't find any word to equal his depth so I held tightly on the railings, loomed closer and gave him a peck on his lips.

"I like you, Hunt."

"Did the wind push you this time?"

He kissed me on the lips, fast yet rough.

"Sorry, the wind pushed me too. Again."

"I hope its anger last or else I'll run out of excuses to kiss you."

I sneered. Maaari naman niya iyong gawin kahit walang palusot—Dios mio, Adelina. Hindi ka ganito noon.

"Tú también me gustas, Solen," aniya, ilang segundo pagkatapos lumamlam ng hitsura.

I smiled gently but there's violence going on inside me. He said he likes me too in Spanish.

Wait a second.

"Marunong kang mag-Espanyol?!"

"¿Qué está mal con eso?" What's wrong with that?

Does it mean . . .

"Ah." He nodded. "You realized that I understood you when you were talking behind my back."

"That you were talking how grumpy I was and asked me to yell it. Hmm?"

Ibinaba ko ang mga palad. "Why didn't you say you know how to speak and understand Spanish?"

"I could've told you if you asked." Ngumiti siya. "You concluded immediately, didn't you?"

Right. Bakit parati na lamang siyang tama?

"Did you forget that I'm a pilot? I speak a few languages."

"Hindi lamang Espanyol?"

"French too," he said. "You wanna hear it?"

I nodded.

"J'aime tout de toi, mon amour."

"What does it mean?" I arched a brow.

"Nothing. It's just . . . a random phrase."

I doubt him. Is he talking behind my back now? I should learn French or he would be able to make his revenge.

"What's with your face?"

"I'm thinking about all the inappropriate words I said behind your back." I feel guilty. Naiintindihan niya pala ang mga iyon.

"Don't worry about it. We all have inner monologues, you just chose to be a little different. You became vocal."

"Really?"

"Uhuh. I thought you looked like a lost puppy when I first saw you."

Marahan kong hinampas ang braso niya. Natatawa nitong hinaplos ang balat.

"But why a puppy?"

He pressed my cheeks with his hands.
