"No, he just always seems to think he has authority over me." You complain out loud to Ajax. Xavier was hanging out with you two before leaving to finish a sketch in his room. Before leaving he made it clear that you should be back in his room before a certain time. You agreed but rolled your eyes as soon as he turned away. Ajax had witnessed and questioned if you were okay.
"I just think he's trying to keep you safe."
"You're here, I'm sure it's safe with you."
"Yes, but he's your boyfriend, not me. You should respect him and what he wants of you."
"Maybe." You feel your phone ding beside you and grab it. Xavier decided to message another rule. "Grab water before arriving please, you need it." You text him back a quick 'ok' and turn back to Ajax and start a new conversation.
"Do you know what club you're joining tomorrow?" He asks.
"Not sure, but I know for sure it's not archery. I don't need another lesson to be taught."
"Well it's a good start there are many good ones."
"Ajax! We need you over here, please!" Enid's soft voice rings through the quad.
"That'll be me. Tell Xavier I'll be in contact later." He states as he goes to walk to Enid.
Deciding just to go back to his dorm instead of hearing his bitching you grab water and make haste to his dorm.
When you walk in he's at his desk sketching peacefully. "I'm surprised to see you here early after the complaining you were doing to Ajax." That little-. "Before you think about being mad at him for telling me, I expected this act from you." He turns his whole body in the chair towards the door and makes a signal for you to walk closer to him.
You set the water down and obey as you walk to him.
"First off I don't think I have authority over you.I do. Want to know why? Because when I say to do something you do it. That right? And not doing archery because you don't want another lesson. That's too bad because you're going to be taught one right now. Want to know what it is?"
"No.."
"It was a rhetorical question. Kneel. You'll learn to not act up just because I'm not around to witness it. I have friends and you know that." He turns facing his desk again.
You kneel at his feet and a hand comes to rest your head on his leg. "Be good and sit here. No complaining or noises or I'll make you sit here longer. Then after I'll make sure you never complain about my authority again."
