Seeing Tyon cry, Alden froze. What happened? What did he say? Why was he crying? He didn't have time to ask all of this because Tyon released his sword and put it into Alden's hands. Alden didn't like swords. He didn't like them at all and started shaking.

"I didn't want to scare you. I was worried because that man touched you without your permission. I wanted to kill him but I never would have talked like that to you. I could never hurt you. If you don't believe me, you can kill me any time. You can keep my sword if you want. I don't want you to be scared of me."

Alden wasn't answering and looking up, Tyon saw him shaking while staring at the sword. Tyon immediately understood and threw the sword far away into the grass.

"Alden?"

Alden was still shaking his eyes, losing focus. Seeing him in this state, Tyon had no idea what to do apart from hugging Alden. He started rubbing his back while whispering soothing words to him. It took a few minutes but Alden came back and immediately started saying:

"I'm okay. I'm fine."

Tyon shook his head:

"If you say it too much, you will start believing it."

Hearing this, Alden broke. He didn't want to but he felt so safe in these arms. He wanted to run away but why did he hug Tyon even closer? Tyon englobed Alden in his arms, shaking himself because of how worried he was.

"I am sorry. I know you had a hard life too."

Tyon shook his head.

"Don't compare yourself. Your fear is valid. You won't see any swords anymore. I promise. Never again. I am so sorry for making you like this.

-It's not your fault.

-It is. And I would love to die right now if you told me to."

Alden scoffed:

"You are crazy.

-I am."

He was crazy about Alden. And he started thinking about crazy things seeing him all frightened. He wanted to find the person responsible and make them regret existing. But right now he needed to calm Alden down. Once Alden was feeling better, Tyon still held him in his arms caressing his back:

"I won't hurt you, Alden. Never. I promise you. I swear on my life."

Alden suddenly hit his chest.

"Stop talking about dying.

-Okay."

They stayed a bit like that and Alden closed his eyes before biting his lips.

"I hate knights."

Tyon froze. He never would have thought Alden would confess anything to him about his life or his feelings. He both felt like it was a dream and horribly touched.

"He... He is a knight."

Alden had a really hard time talking about him and he couldn't find the right words. Tyon felt his struggle and held him closer:

"I got it. I understood."

Alden signed:

"Good.

-Do you feel better?

-Yes. I am fine.

-Really?

-... I don't know.

-You don't have to be fine. I will dedicate my life to making you happy.

-You have to stop talking like that.

-I didn't talk about death.

-Fair enough."

They laughed.

"We should go back to Amauri.

-Are you ready?

-Yes. I want to see my baby."

Tyon wanted to correct him and say our baby but he didn't dare. Everything had been so good until then and he didn't dare destroy any of it. Therefore he just helped Alden get up and get back to the ballroom. Before they entered, Alden turned to Tyon worried:

"Do I look presentable?"

Tyon looked at Alden for a moment before smiling:

"You are gorgeous.

-Again that word?"

Tyon blushed and Alden laughed.

"I'm kidding."

When they went back, no one guessed that Alden had been crying. Everyone thought the two love birds had run away to be all lovey dovey and didn't dare ask questions. Amauri was very happy seeing his parents and he was the only one who noticed something amiss.

"Mommy? Are you okay?

-Yes, darling. It was a bit cold so we came back."

Amauri immediately pulled Alden to the fire to help him warm up and went to bring him some tea. As Alden was drinking his tea, some noble man went up to him and bowed:

"Nice to meet you Mister. I am Koko Darkflare. I am very glad to make your acquaintance. Would you make me the happiest man and grant me the honor of having a dance with me?"

Alden didn't like this man. He talked too much for someone who was pretending to be courting. He seemed very in love with himself and Alden didn't like that. However he shouldn't have been surprised when he didn't even have time to refuse because Amauri was guarding his mommy.

"He is Mister Farroworb. You can't dance with him because you are not good enough for my mommy."

Alden saw a weird shadow pass in front of the man's eyes but he didn't say anything because he knew he would be imprisoned immediately.

"Hi there, young master. Don't you want a new daddy?"

Alden's mouth almost fell off and as if he had felt what they were talking about, Tyon showed up out of nowhere and surrounded Alden's waist with his arm before glaring at the man.

"And who are you?"

The man lost his composure and started stammering while stating his name. Tyon's voice became the same cold as before but worried that Alden would get scared, he first covered his ears before saying:

"Are you sure you are able to bear the consequences of your words?"

The man soon ran away and both Amauri and Tyon smiled at each other proudly. Tyon let go of Alden's ears and he signed, starting to get used to these two wolves.

"What if I wanted to dance with that man?"

They frowned:

"But mommy, you didn't like him."

Tyon nodded and Alden signed. How could they read him this easily?

Quite a lot of people wanted to dance with Alden but one look at his bodyguards and all their courage left their body preferring to stay alive than to dance once. A lot of people also wanted to dance with Tyon but he was already terrifying enough and no one dared approach him. The least scary one seemed Amauri and a lot of people came up to him but Amauri only wanted to dance with his mommy and didn't have any shame rejecting everyone. Seeing him reject the tenth person in ten minutes, Alden frowned:

"Are you having a bad time?

-No, mommy.

-Then why don't you want to dance?

-I only want to dance with you.

-Don't you want to make friends your age?

-No.

-I see. That's okay. But could I know why?

-They are all dumb."

Alden almost choked.

"You can't say this in front of other people.

-I know mommy. I don't want to hurt anyone. But I can tell you everything.

-Yes you can."
