Jisoo couldn't get through to her mother. She was most likely sleeping off last night's shift, before which the girl didn't manage to catch her at home to talk about their upcoming visit to Jeong's mansion. They, not without Jaehyun's efforts, invited Jisoo and her mother to a family dinner tonight.
She wanted to rant and rave from the injustice of the fact that again everything was decided for her by others. Jisoo was afraid that before she could blink, she would actually find herself in St. Petersburg next to Jaehyun with a wedding ring on her finger.
Jisoo was standing at the window of the school hallway after the lessons were over and was biting her lips with worry. She was running out of time. In half an hour, her first class at the academy will begin, which she could not miss. That means she won't have time to run home and catch her mother before she goes to the dinner.
"Jisoo?" she was surprisingly called by Jaehyun, who didn't know where she'd been running all day during the breaks. He realized that this morning, when he warned her that his parents were waiting for her and her mother for dinner, and that the mother had even given her consent, Jisoo became even more angry with him. But these measures would pay off when she returned to him and they could have a happy family with Dalbi, he was sure. "Don't you have to go to the academy?" he asked, trying not to notice her gaze, full of hatred and anger towards him. He got used this kind of looks from Jisoo too quickly. At least as far as he can tell, Jisoo hasn't tried to get Haein to talk to her today.
"What have you done, Jaehyun?" she said in a trembling voice, not removing the phone from her ear. At the other end, the bells did not stop their monotonous rhythm, but Jisoo wouldn't stop waiting for an answer. "What was the point of this circus with family dinner?"
"For our sake, sugar," Jaehyun replied with special tenderness, coming close to the girl. "For the sake of our daughter. Successful future. Why are you so opposed to all this? After all, we once dreamed about it all together."
"It was a long time ago, Jaehyun," she replied coldly, trying to push him away with a free hand in the guy's chest, but it froze on his hard muscles. "A lot has happened since then if you don't know."
"I know. I fixed it, as you can see. It's time to forgive me," he did not let up, gently putting his hands over the girl's one, and pressed it tightly to himself, feeling through the thin fabric of his shirt the cold of her fingers.
Jisoo shook her head and tried to remove her hand, but Jaehyun's grip from gentle became demanding. The guy's fingers were searing into her skin painfully, and his body was reducing the distance between them, that Jisoo hadn't even noticed that the beeps in the phone stopped, announcing that it was impossible to get through to the subscriber.
"You can't fix that I lost Haein, because of you," she said in response, expressing in her voice hatred and disgust.
Jaehyun breathed out with a grin. He inhaled rapidly through the widened nostrils and tried not to reveal how mentioning that name every time pisses him off.
"If you say again that you love him..."
"What?" Jisoo interrupted in annoyance, removing the phone from her ear and unsuccessfully tugging on the guy's tightly clenched palm, as it was getting painful. "What will happen? Do you think that all your help with the scholarship or my coming to your house to visit my daughter, will change my feelings for him? You are so..."
Jisoo didn't get a chance to finish because the hot lips of the ex-boyfriend roughly covered her own. Demanding palms pressed hard against her cheeks, preventing Jisoo from even moving her head aside. The phone fell noisily on the floor of the empty school hallway, and the girl diligently hit Jaehyun's chest with her palms to get away from his nasty lips. After that evening, she was sick of him touching her again.
