The teacher didn't like the state his students. At first, the class president with his face painted blue and red made excuses for being robbed on his way home. Then a few days ago, Jeong Jaehyun told his homeroom teacher that he had been attacked by bullies hired by a rival party competing with his father. Now he was looking at another student, who was absent from that period and was sitting with an equally crippled face, the abrasions on which were already stale. In general, even for teachers, this condition was common for Haein. But it was not clear why one of his students, Kim Hyeyoon, was sitting with her hair dishevelled on the sides, which she tried to comb and looked into a miniature mirror with tears, and the other one, Kim Jisoo, came to class in ballet and with wet hair.
"Haein, did you forget where you were sitting while you were ill?" he asked the student, pointing out that he was sitting in someone else's seat.
When Teacher Kang walked into the classroom, he could not help but notice that the student, whose seat Haein had taken, with fear in his eyes and trembling hands holding a torn backpack, was heading to Jisoo's desk, as there were no other seats available.
"No, I didn't," he answered confidently, leaning back relaxed in his chair, and managed to smile boldly at the lip-corners at the classmate sitting beside him and staring with surprise.
Haein's mood was elevated, as the sight of Jisoo thrown into the pool helped him not to think about the kiss that flashed in his memory every time he saw Jaehyun's face after he returned to school. During the recess before the lesson, they managed to successfully ignore each other and not even notice how the classmates were whispering among themselves.
They had no doubt that these two had a fight. Back on the first day, when Jaehyun came to class with a black eye badly disguised by his mother's cosmetics, they were considering who could have done it and whether the guy's legend about his father's rivals was true. And today, of course, no one could ignore the fact that Haein did not, as usual, stick to Jisoo, who had not even contacted with Jaehyun during the absence of the first guy.
"Hyeyoon, hey," whispered one of her classmates, "what's wrong with them? You should know," she inquired, distracting her from looking at whether there were bald patches on her head while the teacher was writing the topic of a lesson on the blackboard.
"I don't give a damn about this bitch and her boyfriends," she replied nervously, giving her a sinister look, and it became the answer to the others that the class's main gossip girl ordered them to shut up for a while.
"Jisoo," Jaehyun called out for her, unable to ignore the change in the girl's appearance for a recess. "Did you get the letter about the results?" he asked in a whisper, turning his head to her.
"Yes," she answered him briefly and indifferently, not wanting to do anything now.
There was no joy at all of the news received. Even though Jisoo had calmed down after her fight with Hyeyoon, now her thoughts were occupied with anger towards Haein, who, in addition to leaving her to swim in the cold water of the pool, also had left her sitting alone at the desk. Subconsciously, she was still hoping to talk to him during the lesson. She wasn't in the mood to study either. And she was also annoyed by a classmate who was sitting next to her and shaking his knees so that the table moved.
"Then..." continued Jaehyun hesitantly, staring up at her from bottom to top, "May I wonder what happened to your school uniform?"
"No, Jaehyun, you can't," she said nervously and sighed in annoyance, turning her gaze to the side.
The one where Haein was sitting on the front desks and texting with someone, at the same time writing down on a piece of paper. Jisoo guessed that it had something to do with their dishonest business with Mingyu and wanted to know more about it. And also find out why that bitch Hyeyoon was accusing him of making Mingyu look so lousy these days. But she had no right to do that. Haein didn't even want to sit next to her.
