The next day, almost the whole school was discussing the basketball game and their team's victory. It was the first time Haein felt like he was in the spotlight, but it made him uncomfortable. He is used to hiding and being in the shadows. This was required by the field in which he worked. Therefore, he could only briefly nod to classmates who came up to him during recess to praise how well he played yesterday.

Unfortunately for him, Jisoo was rehearsing hard on the basement floor and ordered him not to interfere with her as she wanted to focus on a difficult move that she couldn't do. Haein did not believe her, because Jisoo can do everything. For him, she was too perfect to admit that something could not work out for her, but he still did not insist on his presence in the dance hall, realizing that she most likely needed a break from him sometimes. Most importantly, Jaehyun was in his line of sight.

That guy hated the new popularity of his rival, and he even sat a little further away during the break so as not to hear the compliments from the classmates that he was bestowed with.

"Hi, Hyeyoon," he greeted the girl. The only one in the class who continued to sit in her place all the lessons, never moving even during the breaks. He sat down beside her and smiled politely at the corners of his lips.

Jaehyun couldn't sit idly by. He felt obliged to conduct his own investigation into the death of Jisoo's mother. It seemed to him that the truth about her would help him rise in her eyes.

"So you are talking to me now?" she grunted indifferently in response but still looked at the guy with expectation.

"I didn't want you to interfere with Jisoo. She's already in a serious condition right now," he justified himself, glancing at Haein, and hinting at the fact that she was gradually losing her mind since she continued to meet with this bully.

"Don't worry. She doesn't care about Mingyu just as much as the rest of you. When he overdoses, you will all be very sorry," she said menacingly, swallowing a heavy lump from this thought.

"If you are so afraid for him, then go to the police. At least he won't be able to use it in prison," he replied in annoyance, furrowing his brows and taking a deep breath as he didn't sit next to her to argue with her. "About this, by the way. Do you know who sells drugs to him?"

Hyeyoon shook her head negatively. Moisture was already accumulating in the corners of her eyes, because she was in a desperate state, and did not know how to help her boyfriend, who now hated her. Mingyu even blocked her on the messenger and carefully ignored her when he passed the girl in the school corridors.

"Can you find out?" he asked in a low voice, wondering how a girl as persistent as Hyeyoon didn't cause a scandal for the entire school yet.

"How will I do it? He doesn't even look in my direction," she murmured offendedly, but ideas were already coming to her head.

"How should I know?" he hissed angrily. "You sleep with him, not me. Find out somehow."

Hyeyoon patiently pursed her lips, ready to speak out with not the kindest words, but there was no energy for anything anymore. She wished things between her and Mingyu were the same as before. And she was sure that the classmate sitting at the last desk was to blame. After all, it was after his appearance at school when their relationship began to slide into hell.

"Can you do something if I find out?" she asked, looking askance at Haein.

"I'll try. I think your guess that Ms. Kim and Mingyu were buying from the same dealer may be quite real," he replied and hurried to get up, as the bell was about to ring. "And try to keep your long tongue shut."

Jisoo entered the classroom with the bell but didn't notice Jaehyun moving away from Hyeyoon. The first thing that caught her eye was the classmates who stood next to her boyfriend and frankly flirted with him. Clenching her fists in anger, she quickly walked over to her seat and stood at the desk, giving the girls an icy look that made Haein himself feel chills. His Snow Queen was fully armed that Jisoo didn't even have to open her mouth to let these girls know that they might get very tough on.
