It seemed that almost the whole school had gathered for the game. So many familiar and unfamiliar faces scared Jisoo a little, but she couldn't miss this important event. Barely finding a free seat on the high rows of the bleachers, she sat down and mentally rejoiced at the fact that next to it was unoccupied. She would like to enjoy the game, even though she has never been interested in basketball. Even if Haein was not allowed to play for the whole game, and left to, Jisoo thought to start learning these sports rules to become even closer to her boyfriend. She still marveled at how Haein could distinguish and almost correctly name the ballet moves she rehearsed.
"Stop chasing me already!" she heard a familiar voice, which gradually increased in volume. Turning to the side, she saw Mingyu walking through the row she was sitting in to take a seat.
He did not immediately see Jisoo and froze in place, not daring to sit next to her. But the guy had no choice since there were no other empty seats in the hall. The last one was taken by Hyeyoon, who immediately took a seat on the other side of him, so Mingyu had to sit between two girls and immediately regretted that he decided to run away from his importunate lover by pretending to be interested in a basketball game.
"Fine, she's here too," Hyeyoon snorted in displeasure when she saw her former friend giving them a contemptuous look. "That's good, though," she added, ignoring the host's announcement that the game was beginning.
"What's go..."
"Shut up, both of you," Jisoo shushed them, carefully watching the host introduce the players. She didn't want to miss Haein's entrance.
She no longer paid attention to what the two were arguing about in a whisper since all her attention was on the court. Players came out one at a time, simultaneously represented by the host, who shouted too loudly into the microphone, and there was a buzz in the hall at the mention of each of them. Jisoo had no idea that there were so many fans of this sport in their school, and could not contain her jealousy when she imagined that a crowd of fans would follow her boyfriend. But she did not doubt that only the most courageous would be able to do this because at school they knew well how Jisoo loved to tear out the hair of girls that are unpleasant to her.
At this thought, she briefly glanced at Hyeyoon with a grin, who tried to take Mingyu by the palm, but he threw it away in every possible way and shook his knee so much that even Jisoo's seat moved from his movements. The smile instantly disappeared from her face, because she seriously felt bad for her ex-friend and even sorry for her.
"Jung Haein!" the host yelled, almost deafening the coach standing nearby, and Jisoo instantly jumped to her feet, greeting her boyfriend.
She was not the only one in this crowd and hoped that the guy would be able to find her. Jisoo thought it might be worth it to buy pom-poms to get his attention, but right up to the moment when he turned his head towards her and waved at her as he ran across the court. A bright smile lit up her face, and Haein just waved too little to show how happy he was to see her. So, as he continued jogging, he traced a heart in the air with his hands and pointed at Jisoo with his finger in the middle. She instantly blushed, biting her lips in embarrassment, and the other spectators squealed even more at this gesture. In response, Jisoo raised her arms above her head and, bending them at the elbows in the shape of a heart, pressed her fingertips to the top of her head, showing that she also loved him.
"Damn, I'm gonna be sick of them," Mingyu growled in disgust. He now hated Haein for stopping selling, and Jisoo herself, because of whom, as Mingyu realized, he stopped selling.
"That's very cute," Hyeyoon replied quietly, watching them with envy, and sighed heavily.
"You would feel less sick if you stopped using all sorts of nasty things," Jisoo remarked, clearly hearing his words as she sat down.
