They agreed to meet after Jisoo's class. Usually, after the academy drove with Jaehyun to his mansion to visit Dalbi. But even though she missed her daughter, Jisoo couldn't bring herself to walk into his house today and pretend to be neutral towards him. She was ready to complain about the guy to his parents and in an evil tone to admit that they did not cherish hopes of her marrying their son because she would marry another, beloved one.
"Well done, Jisoo. Excellent as always," the teacher praised after the girl showed her number, and began to write comments on the tablet, not knowing what to add, except for "Top Class", because it was impossible to find fault with her performance.
"Thank you, Mr. Lee," Jisoo bowed, trying to catch her breath, and no less pleased with her performance, she ran to the wall, where other students were waiting for their turn.
She tried to stand as far away from Jaehyun as possible, but Jaehyun didn't understand her desire at all, quickly approached her, and stopped in front of her.
"Jisoo, please, let's talk," he said softly, unable to endure the end of class.
He was very worried about the fact that he had hurt her today, that he could not even really show his number the way he planned. Even though the teacher gave him a perfect score, Jaehyun knew he could have danced better, because perfection is his hallmark.
The girl did not look at him and pretended that she was interested in how Lisa performed cabriole. Crossing her arms over her chest, she tried to keep her left hand under the other, afraid that at any second Jaehyun would take her hand again and try to complete the job. She was seriously terrified that he might break her finger to remove the ring.
Jisoo wished this whole nightmare would finally end. For her to stop being dependent on Jaehyun and his family. Therefore, she mentally consoled herself with the fact that there was very little left. In two and a half months, she will be eighteen and she and Haein will be able to get married. He said that his new job allows him to make good money and that even after school he will go for a promotion that will help them provide Dalbi with a good, comfortable childhood, which Jisoo has never had. She did not want the same fate for her daughter. That night, she and Haein practically did not sleep, between hot kisses imagining their future together, in which the three of them lived. Jisoo wanted to believe that everything would be so.
"Jisoo, look at me," Jaehyun pleaded, not taking ignorance for an answer, and tried to grab her hands.
His attempt made the girl shake abruptly on the spot and press her back against the wall.
"Don't touch me, Jaehyun," she replied softly, finally clenching the fingers of her left hand as tightly as possible into fists. No matter how much it hurt her, she was ready to guard the ring to the last.
"I'm sorry, Jisoo. Let's talk in the hallway, I... I don't know what came over me. You must understand me. When I saw this ring... I couldn't control myself, because you were supposed to be with me..."
"Don't make me laugh," she snapped haughtily, trying not to attract the attention of the teacher at the other end of the hall. She didn't want to be reprimanded because of Jaehyun. "I don't owe you anything. And here you..."
"Jaehyun, your iPhone is torn apart here." They were interrupted by Taeyong, who approached them with a vibrating friend's smartphone, on the screen of which was written "Jung Yoojin".
As much as Jaehyun wanted to hang up the call and end the conversation with Jisoo since it was the first time in three hours of class that she had paid attention to him and talked to him, he knew it was important.
"I have to answer. But we will continue," he said, hurriedly not noticing the girl's perplexed look, and, after asking the teacher for leave, he left the hall.
