Haein returned home in the morning. But nevertheless, he warned Jisoo in advance that he would go to the port at night for collecting goods, informing that before that he wanted to visit Jungsuk-hyung.
In fact, he didn't actually meet Jungsuk, as he spent the entire evening in the boss's office with Kyohwan, discussing with him and Seungjo about goods, customers, manufacturers, sponsors, and who and when to bribe so that the local police would not be interested in things life like the death of a waitress at a club.
This time, Jisoo did not meet him from work, having fallen asleep in bed, and Haein was actually pleased. He did not want to deprive the girl of sleep, because all the previous times she could not find a place for herself and waited for him until the morning. He was not opposed to the fact that she got used to his daily routine and went to bed without him.
Haein didn't know for sure if she was still mad at him after today's quarrel, but he believed that she had time to cool down during the rehearsal since she was the first to write to him in the evening. So, trying not to make any noise, he took a quick shower and joined her in bed, pressing his bare chest against her back.
The realization that he once again acted vilely towards his beloved girl came to him only when he reached the entrance of the house. The work helped him forget, and he was focused entirely on the case. But when he returned home, he remembered that they were someone waiting for him upstairs in the apartment. That it is cozy, warm, and smells of care. It smells like Jisoo. Thanks to her, he did not feel lonely and unwanted and did not delay the moment of returning home, in fear of finding a drunken father and being beaten again.
"You came," the girl muttered sleepily, waking up from how tightly Haein pressed against her, lightly kissing her on the shoulder.
"Forgive me, baby. I'm such a fool I love you so much," he whispered, inhaling her scent, and settled his head more comfortably on their single pillow.
Haein had repeatedly thought about buying a second one, since now two people were sleeping in this bed, but then he would not have a reason to break into her part of the bed like that and bury his face in the fragrant curve of Jisoo's neck.
"Yes, you are such a fool," she chuckled without opening her eyes. "And I love you, such a fool," she giggled softly, stroking his hand pressed against her chest.
"I messed up again today, didn't I?"
"Yes. Some things aren't easy to be changed," she answered honestly with a kind smile, and Haein lightly pinched her buttocks. "But I think you were right. I don't have to worry about Mingyu. His addiction won't get my mother back. I turn against you for nothing."
"Don't apologize, I understand how you feel," Haein said as he swallowed a huge lump that Jisoo kept apologizing to him even when she was right.
He dreamed that a person would already appear who would beat all the bad things out of him for everything he had done because he could not punish himself. Haein held on too tightly to Jisoo to inflict his punishment by depriving himself of the girl he loved.
"He... got hooked before I even came to Seoul. I didn't get to know it right away either. I have repeatedly told him to quit. But who am I for him to listen to me."
"You could just break his arms, so he can't swallow or sniff or whatever he uses," Jisoo replied angrily with undisguised seriousness.
Haein was amused by her answer, and he quietly laughed at this coincidence, because he actually almost broke his arm for it.
"Is it normal that I get turned on every time you say such bad things?" he grinned, slightly pushing his hips into her buttocks and proving his words to her with a tense bulge between his legs.
