"unfortunately, the king couldn't make it with us this year."

joshua saw how a painful and broken smile crept into seokmin's face right after he said those words in front of everybody.. i mean, in front of more than fifty kids, twenty sisters or nuns and some personnel of the orphanage inside their huge hall where they said the so-called party would be held. and though none of them were asking since they seemed to understand why the king couldn't make it with him this year, yet seokmin still informed everyone about the reasons of his father and if joshua could went straight to where seokmin was right now, he wanted to hold his hand and tell him that its alright and that he can.. no they can do it without the king.

and by that, it just shows how vulnerable seokmin is and how he still depends onto his father. or more likely because the prince was family oriented person and ever since he was borned, someone elses was the doing the job for him that maybe had the reason why seokmin.. the prince had it hard without his father.

but despite of sounded so brittle, the prince tend to smile. "but dont worry, i may not be with our majesty for this year... but i am and we are with someone more special this year!" as if on cue, the prince's eyes landed where joshua was sitting as he signalled him to stood up so everyone could see him. "i present to you the special person who would be with us today... my fiance, my alpha, joshua hong!"

though its an almost awkward introduction, joshua remain his emotions as he bowed towards to everyone inside the hall which earned some cooed and greetings from some of the sisters and mostly from the kids and they even said how handsome he was like the prince himself. after seokmin's speech and after some sisters gave the kids permission to interact with the prince and joshuaㅡsoon to be the prince consortㅡand to start that so-called party seokmin had planned for all the kids. it was hard for joshua at the first hour since some of the kids seemed to be not comfortable to interact with him.. more likely, joshua himself is awkward of talking to some kids.

it took him an hour to finally be comfortable with other kids, mostly because seokmin informed the kids how kind joshua is and so kids believed on him. they played different games at a time and some of it was seokmin being their emcee and joshua was helping some kids to win the game and when seokmin caught him cheating, they cutely argued about the matter but in the end, seokmin still gives them consolation price. there are games the prince needed to demo on how to play the games properly so he grabbed joshua with him as his partner to properly show them how the game would work.. but it didnt ended up well since the kids was teasing them.

because the kids may be too innocent to even know what relationship they have, but it didnt escape in their eyes how joshua looked at seokmin, how they talked to each other, how touchy they were in one another and even how they bickered in front of them especially that time when the prince caught joshua was helping some kids to cheat to win the game.

"oppa, promise me we will win against with the prince!" said hyeyeon, a kid who seemed to be comfortable with his joshua around since earlier.
