!! pls bear with me as i wrote the first five chapters of the story last year right after my prelims and after taking psychological exam which my mind hasn't been recovered yet as i wasnt able to rewrite these, thank u for understanding !!

"have you chosen your alpha already?" 

jeonghan's eyes trace up from the article he was reading to his highness, prince seokmin, whose sitting on the long couch not too far from where he was sitting. the prince who're was seated crossed-legged as his both arms was folded on his chest level, who appeared to be like he doesn't care or he doesn't want to talk about that matter, the senator's son had asked upon the area became silent. 

"dont tell me..." jeonghan heave a sighed. "dont tell me you haven't yet.." 

the prince pouted. "you already know the answer hyung, why bother asking?" 

jeonghan almost rolled his eyes. "we've told you enough to choose your alpha already before your majesty or anyone could choose for you." the prince could hear the utmost annoyance by the senator's son's voice yet he didnt made time to bother as choosing alphas weren't really that necessary. "come on lets go, ill help you find and choose your alpha."

"where are we going?" 

"outside." but prince seokmin just shook his head, declining the offer of the older whose standing beside him. jeonghan sighed again. "i cant let your majesty to be the one who would choose your alpha. and for all i know you doesn't want to get scolded so stand up your highness, we'll go outside. i'll call seungkwan or anyone's available."

prince seokmin was about to argue and complain once again when they both jerked their heads on the door upon hearing a knock as seokmin ordered to come in. and once the his eunuch went inside her highness' room, she bowed to the both the son of the senator and to the prince. seokmin could only arched his brow waiting for what she would say. 

"your highness, your majesty wants to talk to you in his office." the eunuch remain her head low, following the rules of not looking directly at the royal family's eyes no matter how important they're going to say. 

"for what?" 

"he didnt say anything, your highness."

seokmin's eyes averted from his eunuch to jeonghan who're standing beside the couch he used to sit. "guess we should cancel your offer then, hyung. ill see you tomorrow."

jeonghan heave a sighed in defeat. "call me and tell me what happened, okay?" 

the prince giggled. "i will, your honor."

both of them exchanged laughs before jeonghan bowed to his royal highness, giving respects and an indication that he was letting the prince to go to his father, his majesty, the king of korea. seokmin left jeonghan at his room as per he knew that the latter would left the area too after him. his eunuch was following him from behind until they went to where the kings office was, she was also the one who announced that the prince was already outside even she was the one who opened the door for the prince upon their majesty ordered him to enter. 

the prince bowed to his father first and foremost before he looked at the king whose sitting on the swivel chair, eyes focused on the hardbound article he was reading but bothered to look at his son the moment he knew that seokmin was staring at him. upon shifting his gaze to the prince, he closed the hardbound article as he heave a sighed. 

"what is it, father?" 

"i couldn't do it, your highness." and without any proper context, seokmin's eyes widened as his mouth left ajar upon hearing those words like as if it would tore him apart inside. "i dont want to ruin your friendship with the two of them, plus both of them are already mated with each other... i couldn't do anything about it."

the prince swallowed hard as he slowly shook his head. "but.. but alphas can change and choose their omega for the second time, your majesty. and you told me you would do something about it."

that's... thats one of the reasons why he still haven't chosen his alpha yet. because his father, the king, told him he could make that alpha to be mated with him. and he also want and love that one and only alpha.. which happened to be already mated with someone else. someone else who's one of his closest friends and the person who he could always rely into.

"your highness." the king called out seokmin, but the latter just shook his head, eyes begging. "i cant do it, son."

"i want him, father."

the king heave a sighed. "i dont want to cause any trouble. plus think of your friendship with them.. do you want to ruin those relationship you have by just wanting that alpha to be mated with you? your highness, you're better than that, and i know you know better that the alpha you want, and you to remain just friends."
