joshua couldn't help but to shed an unconscious laughed the moment he witness how seokmin, the prince who are busy and too focused on what he was cooking had jumped and screamed out of frightened as per joshua just appeared from behind him from nowhere and though he got shouted by the prince, that doesn't stop him from distancing himself nor even changing his position to where he came from and even he doesnt want to remove his grip from the prince's waist...

as his right hand was on the prince waist, his chest and his body was almost leaned against the younger which he thought that the prince might pushed him away, but instead the prince was just glaring at him right now of course about him getting startled and joshua appearing out of nowhere. but the expression of wanting to push him away because of the distance of their bodies, joshua couldn't see it from seokmin's face and expression.

"you almost gave me a heart attack!" then seokmin assailed him with the stainless sansi landle he was holding.

joshua laughed once again. "im sorry, my highness." seokmin rolled his eyes then he went back from what he was doing which was cooking. "so what are you cooking again?"

"its called gungjung tteokbokki or royal court rice cake..." joshua saw how seokmin mixed all the ingredients that was on the pan then he added some seasonings of it. it smelled good and delicious. "my noona told me it was fathers favorite so as a christmas gift for him, i tried cooking the way my noona and my mother cooked one for father before."

upon ending his statement, joshua witnessed how a sweet yet painful and broke small smile crept into seokmin's face for a moment then it had faded right after. and by that, joshua felt and saw how hard it is for the prince to handle so much looses in his life, from the late queen which is his maternal mother, and now way back months ago, the woman who stand as his second mother died in an accident and all seokmin left right now was his father.. his father, the king was all that he got, was all that he have. he may not saw how strong the relationship was between seokmin and the late princess, but witnessing how much tears he poured during her burial made it all enough.

and though seokmin may have an aura that he can rule and reign the nation alone, but joshua have known enough how innocent the prince was and how much he needed someone to be with him if the right time comes. and that, joshua realized that his mother was right... that the prince needed an alpha with him to rule and reign this nation, but joshua knew he was not the alpha whom seokmin, whom the prince needed. as he was nothing to be compared with soonyoung, the kwon soonyoung. the man who holds an army in his hands.
