SURPRISE UPDATE!!!!
AFTER A MONTH
ALESSIO
Cassio walked into my office, "Heard your dad isn't going this time."
"Yes. He is sick of mafia balls, plus mother insists on him resting and recovering from when I shot."
He sighed and sat down in the seat placed in front, "Understandable. You are invited and you need to go, you know that, right?"
I sighed, took off my glasses and pinched the bridge of my nose, resting against my seat, "I am aware."
"And you do know that-"
"Yes."
"Have you prepared her?"
"We aren't sleeping together so I haven't seen her in a while."
"Who gives you food then?"
"It's already there when I come in the kitchen."
"Oh. Anyways, you need to talk to her and you need to tell her a few things. Get her ready for the ball before things get worse than they already are."
I squinted my eyes and glared at him when I smiled right through my fucking teeth, "Thank you grandmother."
He mocked an old woman's voice, "Ohhh, you are welcome my dear."
He got up and left when huffing, I shut my laptop and got up, ready to go and face my wife. We had been married for around more than half a year now, and we were still poles apart. My parents had stopped begging me wanting to meet her and I was glad for that. I walked up the steps and stood outside her door, contemplating on how to tell her the news.
I could hear commotion from inside but after giving my mind a minute or two to think, I just entered. Didn't knock or anything since this was my house, she was my wife and was bare to me however I wanted and whenever I wanted, so knocking didn't make any sense.
She was sitting on the floor, knitting something when my eyebrows furrowed together as I closed the door behind, "What are you doing?"
She scrambled to her feet and held the yarn and her whatever-she-was-making in her hand when she spoke in a low voice, "A scarf."
"For?"
"Cassio and Tony."
"Who the fuck is Tony?"
"His boyfriend."
I walked up to her when her head kept getting lower and lower. I snatched the yarn and the incomplete scarf out of her hands when I asked her, "Is the other made?"
"No. I will make it after this one."
I nodded, broke the yarn thread connecting the two together and taking a lighter out of my pocket, I set it on fire. Avelina's body was aboutttt to jerk forward to stop but she didn't move an inch. I caught her eye which was transfixed onto her piece of burning scarf as ashes dried inside her eyes, stealing the life out of them. I dropped the scarf out on the balcony and after making sure it was all burnt? I put the fire out and went back in.
Tears glistened in her eyes when I threw the yarn on the bed and looked at her, "Next time you decide to make things for men other than your husband, let me know so that atleast I can publicly humiliate you for being a whore and cheating on me."
Her head snapped up, "I never cheated on you."
"Oh yeah? Making things for men other than your husband while you seek refuge in a room away from your husband, away from his supervision. How fucking nasty."
