Turns out...Ashton Romanno was right. They were at sea.

We were at the dock when everyone had their snipers ready. We kind of knew it was a trap but we wanted to end this party of the American mafia as quickly as possible, before deciding how to deal with the rest. They had Jamie and I would do anything to get that little boy back, even if I had to give up on my own life. I, so fucking would. You don't dare to mess with our little baby of the house and get to see yourself smile the next day. That's not how it works.

There were five hundred of our men, and many men from their side as well, but less equipped and less in number. I made sure my hair was in a bun when I looked at Cassio, "My father-in-law and I trained the men, don't doubt us once now."

He gulped and nodded when I looked back at the boat, a stern expression on my face. When Jamie was kidnapped, Cassio had lost every last sense that he had. Giovanni did help me train men and to keep discipline, but he wasn't like Ashton or Alessio. And so? Stepping into my mafia code, I went all Ashton Romanno on their asses. Partly because, Alessio's father and uncle came to help me. Ashton Romanno and Massimo Romanno would transform completely once in the training room.

They would turn into one of the most ruthless men to ever exist. They would train harshly, would slash, kill and train them as badly as I could ever imagine. To a point, they did scare me a lot. And what's more to get scared of? Alessio's father trained me. And he didn't see me as a daughter-in-law.

No.

Not at all. Not even in the slightest.

He saw me as another warrior and gave me one hell of a tough time. Never once did he go easy on me and never once did he lack. His words?
I don't give a fuck as to who you are because when you are on the battleground? These things don't matter. It's either live or die, and my army lives. And right after that, he laid an upper punch when stars formed in front of my eyes. I was basically expected to avoid the punch but I didn't see it coming.

So? My trainer was the Ashton Romanno, so ofcourse, we couldn't lose this time.

Adelaide came down the boat, when our jaws clenched. She was the wife of Gerad, was wearing a red dress, her breasts practically spilling out, a slit visible in her leg, bright red lipstick painting her lips when she had a cigarette between her lips, dangling over the edge. How badly I wanted to crush that cigarette and drain its contents down her throat, enough to make sure she choked and died on it. She sauntered down when Cassio leapt forward and I grabbed his elbow.

He usually was quite strong on his emotions but each second away from Jamie was making him lose himself. And the last thing I needed was a brutal fight to break out this way. We were here to rescue Jamie and with proper protocol.

Cassio gritted out, anger viciously lapping through every word of his, "Where is my son?"

There was desperation in his voice and I couldn't blame him. We all couldn't sleep even in the car, which was saying much, since it was a nine hour long ride. There wasn't direct sunlight here now, as it was around six to seven pm, but still lit enough to see clearly without needing streetlights.

Adelaide stood in front and smoked when my jaw ticked. Giovanni spoke, "We don't want war-" and she spoke calmly, doing what every great mafia empire does. The unexpected.
