Lily and Setareh had been going back and forth for a half hour now, and Leila rested against her bed gently as to not wrinkle her gown. She watched the pair, trying to rub away the headache that was forming at their bickering. There was no point in arguing, considering Leila's word was final and there was little time before the Solstițiul de Primăvară ball.
The girls had gotten ready together. Aera had declined the invitation, deciding to excuse herself from the ball entirely and stay in the bathing rooms. Now Leila wished she had another distraction.
The girls looked beautiful.
Lily, was adorned in a dress the color of the softest of cream. Her dress was high necked, delicate, and embroidered with pink and blue flowers like the blossom of spring. Her long, straight brown hair was braided into a bun, little twinkling stars stuck into it with pins. Her silver and white mask covered in diamonds and feather hung by her side, discarded as she glared with frustration towards my sister. Even with the scowl on her face, she was beautiful. Her fair cheeks dusted with pink, her eyes painted with silver.
