Earlier...
Happy wasn't the right enough word to describe how she felt at the moment. She knew that seeing her parents would bring so much joy, but to actually be able to hug them and even spend just a couple days with them always brought such a smile to her face. She also knew she would be able to see them again for a month once they got back from their two week long training camp since summer vacation was approaching. But as they say...nothing beats being home.
Uraraka was a bit confused though about why Thirteen was so eager to drive her home since it was quite a bit far from Musutafu. But nevertheless, she always loved the company and didn't complain.
As the car came to a stop in front of her house she couldn't help but let out a happy sigh and giggled. Grabbing her bag, she looked back at Thirteen. "Thanks again for taking the time and driving me all the way here Thirteen. I hope I wasn't too much of a burden."
"Not at all Uravity. I was happy to. Just please let me know if you need anything else."
Smiling fondly at the hero "I will. Thank you again."
"And please let me know if you need a ride back, ok? I know you said your parents were going to bring you back- "
"Oh, I'll be fine. Really. Don't worry about it." Uraraka smiles back, getting out of the car and walking towards her house waving. 'Wow that's sweet of her to offer.'
As she makes her way closer to her front door, she curiously glances over her shoulder still seeing the car waiting for her to enter her home.
Once she unlocks the door, she finally sees Thirteen drive away waving. "Mom? Dad? anyone here?" Looking around the living room she can't help but smile. "I wonder where everyone is?"
She walks over to her room taking a look around smiling fondly at all of her childhood memories. Throwing her bag on the bed before plopping down herself. After a while she gets up deciding to find out where everyone is, feeling herself about to fall asleep. Walking over to the kitchen she looks down at the counter finding a note with her mom's handwriting.
'Ochaco,
Dad and I had to run back to work,
but we will be back as soon as we can.
Can't wait to see you!
Love,
Mom and Dad'
Rubbing her tired eyes, she thought back to how hard working they really were. Growing up it always felt like they were on the move and hardly had any time off. She understood of course but being a little kid, she always tried to spend as much time with them as she could before they had to run off to work again. As the years passed and she started getting older she made it her primary focus to help them any way she could whether it was using her quirk at their worksite or taking on smaller jobs after school.
They did so much for her growing up. Never once complained that they were too tired or couldn't afford something. Always keeping a smile on their faces. When she found out she got accepted to UA they couldn't have been prouder of her. She was actually about to turn them down, knowing full well about their financial situation and how far away from her home it was. She couldn't bare the thought of being that far away from them. What if they needed her? But they wouldn't hear of it. They just wanted to make her happy and see her dreams come true.
Well...once she graduates and signs with a good agency, she would make sure their working days were over and that she would take care of them. After enrolling she realized she really loved helping people and couldn't wait to become a pro hero, while at the same time also making sure she would help take care and be there for her parents the same way they were for her.
