Carla's POV
I was sitting on Mom's desk at the police station with Mom sitting in her chair and Cynthia leaning next to me on the desk, "So, how was your date," Mom asked, I shrugged and smiled.
"It was a lot of fun actually," I said, crossing my arms and taking a deep breath as Cynthia raised an eyebrow.
"What'd you guys do," Cynthia asked, I shrugged.
"We went out to dinner then we went stargazing for a bit before we passed out, then I woke up from another fucking nightmare," I said, shaking my head and looking down at me lap.
"Did he get you to calm down," Mom asked, I nodded, letting out a breath.
"Of course he did," I answered, smiling. "I didn't want to just lay there so he decided that we were gonna get up and he had us slow dance to Imagine Dragons songs," I said, laughing and shaking my head. I bit my lip, "I don't know how he does it."
Cynthia laughed and shook her head, "I'm not surprised that you two would slow dance to Imagine Dragon songs," she said, I shrugged.
"I mean, whatever works, right," I asked, they nodded as Mom let out a breath.
"Go home and eat, alright," she asked, I nodded, getting up and kissing both of their cheeks.
"Okay, love you," I told them, before heading for the door.
"Love you too," they called in unison, I grinned.

I was looking through the fridge trying to find something to eat when I saw a pizza box. I shrugged, "They must've had pizza last night," I grabbed the box out, grabbed a piece, and sat up on the counter. I took a bite as my phone started ringing, I answered and put it on speaker, "What's up?"
"Hey, you want to hang out," Rylee asked, I grinned and nodded to myself.
"Yeah, sure, I'm eating right now if you wanna co-" the doorbell rang, cutting me off. I let out a breath, "Hold on," I said, jumping down from the counter and heading to the front door. I opened the door to see Rylee and I shook my head, ending the call, "Or you are already here," I said, she laughed. I leaned against the doorway, "Why am I not surprised," I asked, she shrugged.
"Don't know," she answered, shaking her head, I rolled my eyes and let her inside, smiling.
"Want some pizza," I asked, she shrugged.
"Sure."
We walked into the kitchen and she grabbed a piece of pizza, I sat up on the counter again, "So, sup?"
"Nothing, just wanted to hang out, but how was your date with Charming last night," she asked, I glanced down and shrugged, smiling.
"I finally told him that I love him," I said, and she stared at me.
"How? When? You have to tell me about it," she said, drumming her hands on my leg, I started laughing and shaking my head.
"Okay, alright," I said, letting out a breath. "I was having a really bad nightmare two nights ago," I started, she nodded. "The thing is, when I have nightmares I talk in my sleep and, of course, I end up saying that I love him right before I woke up and Derek was already awake."
She stared at me, "Are you serious?"
I nodded, "Yep, it's definitely not how I wanted that to happen," I said, she snorted as I slapped her shoulder lightly. "Shut up," I said, laughing a little, she shook her head as her phone went off.
