Derek's POV
Music was playing as I sat at my desk, working on some homework as my phone started ringing. I grabbed my phone and answered it, glancing at the caller ID, "Lukas, why the hell are you calling me? If it's to get me to go to that party tonight, I already told you that I'm not going," I said, closing my notebook and leaning back in my seat.
Lukas groaned, "Well, you might wanna change your mind about that, Carls is drinking," he told me, I groaned.
She told me about how she used to drink when things became too much, I was hoping that she wouldn't do it tonight without telling me, but whatever. "How much has she drank already," I asked, getting up and slipping on my shoes.
"At least three drinks she made and all of them had vodka in it," he answered, I nodded and walked out of my room.
"Where's it at," I asked, Lukas let out a breath.
"Jacob's."
"Fuck."

I stopped in front of Jacob's house and looked for Carla's bike since I saw her truck in her driveway. I shook my head and looked up at the house, it was two stories with a wrap around porch that had plenty of people. I stuck my keys in my pocket and headed inside, I had to push past people to get anywhere.
I was looking for Lukas or Tyler and instead I found Rylee and Charlie dancing and laughing. I shook my head and found the other two at the doorway to the kitchen, I managed to get over to them, "Hey," I called, they nodded at me.
"Hey," Tyler said, Lukas nodded to the kitchen as Tyler pointed inside of it.
"She's mixing another drink," he told me, I nodded, letting out a breath.
"Has she gotten into a fight, yet," I asked, Tyler shook his head.
"Nah, she's been hanging out with us," he answered, I nodded and slipped past them, going into the kitchen.
Carla was pouring vodka and cherry schnapps into a cup, I shook my head, "That better have something in with it," I said, leaning back on the counter next to her.
"Charming," she exclaimed, looking up at me, I smiled as she tilted her head. "You aren't gonna make me go home, are you?"
I shook my head, "Nah, just came to hang out with you," I answered, she grinned at me.
"You want a drink," she asked, I shook my head.
"No, I drove, but how many have you had," I asked, she shrugged.
"This is my fourth of this on top of three beers, but the plan is that this is my last drink," she told me, I nodded as she took a sip.
"Did you get a ride? I didn't see your bike outside," I said, she nodded.
"Oh, yeah, I rode with Charlie and Rylee, they're designated drivers for Lukas, Tyler, and I," she told me, I nodded.
"Well, I'll make sure you get home so they only have those two to deal with," I said, she smiled and nodded.
"Okay," she said, leaning up to give me a kiss and I returned it. "C'mon," she said, grabbing my hand and pulling me out to the dance floor.
I pulled her into me as Charlie looked at me, "Derek," he asked, I nodded and smiled.
"Sup," I asked, Rylee tilted her head at me as Carla took another drink.
"You drinking," she asked, I shook my head.
